I think the Club are still clinging to that 5% chance that Flanno can talk Hunt around.. right now he's still here until the end of 2025.. and until another club is willing to actually cough up players.. this keeps the dream alive.. not to mention.. we are relying on Hunt actually stepping up on the field if we are to avoid the spoon.

Once we drop him from captain.. or tbh even push him to the left side of the field.. its pretty much over for the relationship... that combined with the fact that we dont actually have a decent captain choice in waiting.. its a shit sandwich whichever way we go.

I'll take JDB or Lomax or Lawrie, Hunt does nothing to inspire the side as captain, and the last game he played he did nothing at all except run for 5m, truly inspirational.

How can you possibly have Hunt as captain, who in their right mind would believe he has the best interests of the team and club at heart.
They say that hope springs eternal.

That’s where we are, I think they recognise it’s about a 5% chance of turning it around but they are sticking with it. Of course it would be an interesting situation if Hunt doesn’t get any good offers… what will he do then? I bet he decides he likes our guaranteed income stream….

BTW anyone else suspect that Ryles must have got tipped off about the Hunt situation, hence his flip?

I think this game will go down to the wire.
A lot of people and the media keep talking up Wests roster, but the bottom line is they have dished up pretty much the same rubbish as we have all season.
Carr would be drilling into their heads the importance of a win that could take us a long way from getting away from the spoon.
Whilst our left side defence is extremely ordinary, from the vision I have seen Wests also have plenty of defensive issues with their own left side defence.
May well come down to which team exploits the others weaknesses the best on the night.

  • Tyrell Sloan- my half
  • Mathew Feagai- dumfoundered
  • Moses Suli
  • Zac Lomax- like Carr to continue fullback experiment.
  • Mikaele Ravalawa
  • Talatau Amone - needs consistency with new found skills
  • Ben Hunt- dumbfounded
  • Francis Molo
  • Jacob Liddle- run the leather pal
  • Blake Lawrie
  • Billy Burns- double the involvement of BMM
  • Dan Russell - good defender
  • Jack de Belin- simply, THE BEST

  • Moses Mbye- continues being picked in his worst position
  • Michael Molo
  • Toby Couchman- should be in the 13.
  • Jack Bird- dumbfounded

They are tiptoeing around him trying to not give offence hoping they can salvage the situation. That’s what that’s about I reckon
I figure Carr is under instructions from the CEO or board with this one. He can’t possibly be that stupid otherwise. Like most things this club had done in recent years it sends a terrible message and cannot do anything but destabilise the team. Let’s give the captaincy to this skid mark. It’s the worst possible thing they can do. How can a team possibly function well on the field under a scum bag who has already mentally checked out? It’s just dumb and what’s worse it makes a mockery of the jersey and emblem. There’s just no justifying this.

The continual omission of Musgrove is baffling given his fab season stats. He must've stepped on the chairmans big toe.

The Dragons rarely fail to disappoint in matches of significance. I’m braced for a loss with the Tigers having too much speed and a week in the media spotlight.
Yes
Like errors and losing winnable games-. Hunt drops from kick off v Titans.
Musgrove tackled then Young runs 80 m
V Raiders.
Averillo running huge metres for 2 tries V Dogs.
And Suli throwing a pass.to know one then we bomb try v Tigers.

RedVPodcast saying Hunt is rumoured to be sick as a dog? I know this seems like a hell of a coincidence, but nonetheless.. doesnt bode well for his energy levels if true.
Lets hope he gets replaced at the captains run, BTW he was sick when he last played as well, reckoned he had the FLU.
