Im 2-83 after 20 overs.
My best performance so far. My best batsman are at 3 and 4 (they are both in now). They both have respectfull batting.

Still im happy with the start, will probably fall away when the wickets tumble but not complaiining yet.

Will, I challenged the guys you were playing!!!!!! might win...maybe

Sounds like you're doing well big fella.

A frustrating 10th wicket partnership is starting to worry me. They're currently 9/71 (after being 9/52). My middle over bowlers are really just batsmen who can only score 5-10 runs a game, so I force them to roll the arm over to make sure they have some value in the team. It's like under 7s cricket. You're crap at batting? Ok we'll give you a bowl as well. You suck at that too huh? Maybe you should just take up sewing or something.

This is going to be a tricky chase on a green-top that is seaming all over the place. 9/73 now. I woulda preferred to have been chasing something under 60. Getting worried now. My top order is pathetic...

My top 6 are now at worst all feeble (in the other team i had i had worthless coming in and stuff. but they changed my team for some reason).

ive entered the player market a bit, buying some cheap guys with mediocre batting ratings and stuff. other teams these guys are nuffies, for me they are stars..

Yeah, I bought a couple of mediocres to begin with. In the end I basically went back to the team that I began with, my buys were all failures.

At the moment, my top six are all mediocre or above. I have two competent batsmen as well. Loving that! I also have an all-rounder (bats at 7) who is competent bowler and batsman, but has only ever scored one score of above ten (though to be fair, he did it by smashing 16 off the second last over to win the game) and gets tonked everytime he trundles in.

I have a 'strong' bowler though. He's my hero. Jeff Blackstock. He's a hero. He picked up a few wickets today. The rest of the bowlers are mediocre or feeble.

9/97 now. This 10th wicket partnership is killing me!

so your teams not terrible at lesat. when i first signed up i had woefulls coming int he top 6 and stuff. so im just buying a bunch of cheapass mediocres and feebles and stuff at the moment

im 5\106 now. runs have dried and wickets are falling.

Yeah, I'd love to have just left my openers on to bowl their ten straight. Today that would've worked, as I think I would've been through them within 20 overs.

They've now reached 9/148, one of their players (their #9) just hit a single to bring up his 50, while their #11 is cruising on 36 off 73.

This is easily more humiliating than any of my 9 wicket or 200+ run losses. And I haven't even lost this game. Hopeless.

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally. All out for 160. 10th wicket partnership was worth 108 runs!!!!! Mellor came back into the attack and to pick up the last wicket. Ends with 5-25.

Tricky chase ahead I think. Not confident.

Question.
As i am trying to revamp my side.

I have a few guys playing in my team, who are mediocre at batting or bowling but thats about it. Then I have a few guys whos batting and bowling is abysmal etc but they have real competent consistancy and stuff.

Whose a better pick. I go to battrick rating where it ranks the players and it has a few guys up there with sh*thouse batting and bowling, but cause there consistancy and stuff is good it ranks them higher. what do you guys think?

Get a few component/respectable players those abysmal guys aren't going to win you any games.

I don't really understand how the game works to be honest. But I try to take it all into account. Like, I don't want a guy who will consistently be sh*thouse. So he'll need to have at least a little bit of batting/bowling stats, but past that I take a lot from their current 'form' (superb batting form etc).

I'm just wondering how long it will take before I start getting decent players out of my academy. I've been pumping 20k into it every week, and it has improved from feeble to mediocre but the juniors who come out of it are all still worthless in every stat (except that I get 10 intensive training sessions so in the end they are worthless in every stat except bowling or something, which they are feeble at after I pump all ten ITS's into that part of their game). Then I fire them and start again next week but they aren't getting any better. Frustrating to say the least.

From what I've heard it's a lottery getting good players out of the YA. Even if your YA is suberb your chance of getting a good player is the same as a woeful one. All the upgrade does if give you more ITS points to spend on a player.

Damn...fair enough.

Am I allowed to save up the ITS points? Like will I ever be allowed to use more than 10 ITS points on a player? Cause I might just wait a couple of weeks and get 30 points up and splurge on one kid who will become my superstar or something.
