Bay 66 Farewell my friends

I am sorry to hear it Clarkie.

I said about a year ago now, I was concerned about the Level of Staffing at the club and the way some decisions were being made. It is really upsetting to hear our club has behaved in this way, but for me, I am sorry to say, not unexpected.

I would think you should contact the Memberships office at memberships@parraeels.com.au.

I know the person in charge was refered to at the AGM as Jack, a younger looking blonde lass, Who I think is on the Eels Staff list page

Mark do you think there would be any point for Clarkieel to contact the membership office? Wouldn't they have been the same ones who called to let her know they had been shafted?

ME, I edon't know. It could be that the club is using a call centre to take calls to 1800 Blue Gold and as such would have gotten them to do the out calls, even if it was to 25 people, that is what you pay call centres for.

I reckon you should contact the NRL Clarkie. Or threaten to when you contact our memberships office, unless you get your seat - or an equivalent - reinstated.

Failing that, threaten to contact the press (e.g. Daily Tele) and see if that kicks the club into action.

Good on your for bringing this issue to the forum's attention - as fans and members we need to be aware of when an organisation is trying to do any of us over, so that we can be prepared to stand up for the right outcome.

so you couldn't atleast throw the option off a possible meeting between the club and season ticket holder?? before you go running to the NRL? FMD Bart...

has any other bay been affected by this, or has somebody made the decision that season ticket holders don't want to occupy these seat and never asked the seat holders.

At a time when ground capacity is an issue for some, why would they reduce the number of seats? Will these seat be sold as restricted viewing seats like the front row of the stands?

The stadium trust decided to remove the front row. That is where I sit and my bay is right on th 50m line and apparently all sold out. Would have loved to know beforehand as we have upgraded to a family ticket this year and it was a lot of umming and ahhing as the young bloke is autistic and its going to be quite the experience for him.

Hi Guys,

There seems to be some paradigm for shifting blame away from our club. Hence blaming the Stadium trust. I have no doubts that both the Stadium Trust and indeed the marketing department of the Eels (who sell the marketing space at the Stadium) are most probably partially to blame for this being changes.

However, if anyone suggests that the management of informing the customer and working to a satisfactory solution falls to anyone but the membership office then they are fair dinkum having a massive wank.

The membership office sells the memberships. Remember it is a membership now and not just a ticket, people who buy these seats have rights and a voice in the club. Yet the report from Clarkie is that the contact from the Membership team was poor, dismissive and obviously from this thread did not satisfy the issue to the members satisfaction.

I am sure if Clarkie was told, yes we are sorry that we will have to move you to bay 64 next year, but in future years we will work to ensure that you are moved closer and closer to your previous seats, and apply a discount each year we can't get you there.

The club can recoup the amount of the Discount from the Stadium or from the Marketing budget or equally.

That would have given Clarkie a far more positive experience from the club. It isn't hard and all it takes is a little time and level head to manage this from a Memberships office point of view.

As I have said before, and I know Jodeci and I have spoken about this several times this year, we need more people in the membership department at the club, experienced people as well. We not only reduced the numbers in the last year but also removed many years of experience to hire a new younger membership manager to handle our memberships. Jaqu worked with the previous membership manager for a total of 4 months, before the previous person left the club.

I am a member at ANZ Stadium and they seem to be able to handle the renewals and issuing of new membership cards far quicker and with much less hassle for 17,500 members than our club has for less than 10,000.

I spoke to a senior executive at the Bulldogs a few weeks back.

They have 16 full time staff members part of their office.

The staff members who look after memberships are not 17 year olds who have no idea, they have recruited people who have years of experience in memberships with not other clubs but different sporting codes around Australia.

As they say, you cant buy experience.
