Just goes to show ,all those years when the Dragons League Club was known as the Taj Mahal, and making squillons, the council owned ground could have been an all seater with cover by now.
Now it's too friggin late.
The choices home games ,we have are limited.
One in Perth against Raiders, one in Brisbane v. Broncos, one in Adelaide against the Storm,Bankwest against the Panthers and Eels.
Dragons,Tigers,Souffs,Dogs,Smeagles,Newcastle and Easts at Kogarah.
they were never gonna do that. its too expensive for the return of 6 games a season

its a terrible venue. no parking. oval shaped..its f**ked.

Yes. I would prefer Kog, by a great f**king margin, even though its a shit place.
The idea Parramatta is not far away is laughable and shows you dont use PT to get to games at all.
In an ideal situation, we would wait til the new SFS was finished before we start the renos. But we wont.

We're kinda f**ked with this...whatever we do, we essentially signal that our specific territory isn't required for a comp going forward. Bankwest: data shows Cronulla can successfully play in western suburbs and brand can be adapted/diluted. Kogarah/WIN: Sutherland, Wollongong, St George regions can be merged.

We're gonna give NRL the data it needs to justify a merger or relocation imo.

People from the shire aren’t going to routinely travel to Parramatta to watch football. A couple might but most wont. If that is the solution then they’re going to lose a valuable market.

People might travel to Kogarah, but that ground is no better and is being phased out anyway.

At the end of the day the NRL can come up with whatever data/criteria they like to feed whoever it is they are trying kowtow to.

You would think that after 100 years of a Sydney dominated comp (with teams scattered at various locations across the metropolitan area) that it might be time to accept that it actually does work. This sport loves to dwell on a problem that doesn’t even really exist.

Stake, what the f**k!!! You have never ever made so much sense! Bring back SSB68 or the Messiah

Port Macquarie’s team is the sharks, so the supporter base will have a higher % of sharks fans.

Yes , f**k kogarah. Go for Wollongong whilst the dragons are down & the Illawarra supporters are wondering “what the f**k are we doing with these dragons merkins”!

I’d go to a game at bankwest to check it out, I’d go to a game at the scg. Probably couldn’t be arsed going to the gong.

No way do I bother with Kogarah. Merkin of a place.

Regardless, I don’t go to many games if they aren’t at shark park. Just the way it is.

You have 12 games to decide where to play, i would say you need 6 in sydney/wgong.

The other 6 regional/interstate/o'seas

Port Macquarie
Sunshine Coast
Toowoomba
Hobart - we might be able to get some funding from Tassy Govt
Fiji - we would be first NRL team to play there, and might get benefit then of Fijians wanting to play for us
Toronto - If Wolfpack get promoted and with world cup in North Americaa in next couple of years, we would need plenty of incentives and rest time, another chance to push our brand, this is the wildcard option

Crowds won't go, doesn't matter where they play, some people just won't travel or won't show support if at Kogarah.
So yeah wherever the dollar is because they are ALL away games

Kogarah is pretty easy to get to by train from the Shire.

Who cares about the StGeorge thing. The council own the ground so they’ll be getting the money.

I’d be playing at least a few games there because of proximity to our supporter base. The rest can be sold to the highest bidder.
