I'd call it the Greg Florimo wish bridge and have a shrine to the bears on one pillar and manly emblems on the others
Not really. For every one you have factored as "don't care " Others do care or have left the code for others. But your type don't count these people. Or the lost opportunity gained from the cultural and historical significance that gets cast aside when a perfectly valid and popular club is not about due to a flawed agreement.
Oh so you can comprehend that just because you know of a few instances of something occurring it doesn't mean thats the way it is all the time.
If 'my type' don't count the ones lost to the code then its fair to say you don't count the ones who aren't.
"the lost opportunity gained from the cultural and historical significance that gets cast aside when a perfectly valid and popular club is not about due to a flawed agreement" - that is a tricky one! I hope you teach P.E. and not English.
You've basically said that cultural and historical significance brings about lost opportunities, but you can solve that by getting rid of a popular and valid club using a flawed agreement.
You absolute spud.
Same back at yu !
Manly, Wests and Parra should have taken over Bears territory 15 years ago.
The only booted club to retain a junior league? Heard rumours over the years of obstructive behaviour from Bears officials in the region - time they were put in their place.
Divide up their junior league and Manly to play a trial at NSO.
Years ago, the ARU went professional and they pumped all their money into the top players in the game
They starved the grassroots of investment. Ever since they did that Union in Australia has become an almost ran. A nothing sport who nobody cares about. The fact that game hasn't died is a testament to two things. 1. AFL hasn't quite gotten round to buying all the sports fields in Sydney yet and 2. the NRL are almost as inept as the ARU
At the moment we have the biggest TV revenue we have ever known. So what are we doing with that money? Pumping it into grassroots, ensuring Rugby League fields are open across Sydney and all the kiddies are playing?
Or are we throwing large amounts of money at the elite players and paying lawyers to do the jobs accountants, planning development officers, marketing managers etc should be doing?
I'll give you a hint - we're not doing the one we should be doing
Right across Sydney AFL are paying councils to take down Rugby League posts and put up AFL ones.
They're putting money years after year after year into junior programs. Their journalists and friends in government keep telling the mums "don't let your son play that rough Rugby game, come play safe, inclusive Oz Kick
In the meantime Rugby League is infighting, bickering and bitching amongst ourselves while our own supporters keep saying the only way to go is to kill Rugby League clubs to make room for more AFL
Killing off Manly does nothing but promote other sports. Peninsula people will only follow a local team
Improve Brookvale (money from the local Council and State Government should be doing that) and then pump NRL money into the local juniors
We will reap the benefits
You do realise that the Sharks did not mind him leaving? Just remember this is the guy who was in control of every facet of the club in 2017, the Year the Sharks were the Premiers, and he managed to get the club a $2.5m loss in the one year a profit could have been attainable. If Gorman can fix the dumpster fire that was the sharks, he can fix us
They've had a captain who stayed 5 years too long, survived peptides,Barba and Ricky Stuart
We'll be fine thanks for the concern Flo
He's the reason your developments have been doneYou do realise that the Sharks did not mind him leaving? He also handled the Barba issue terribly. Tried to do a sneaky around the NRL's back and it backfired abysmally.
He did some good things with the community aspect and club relations but he is far from the messiah he likes to portray himself as.
No he wasn't. They were planned out and approved to be done before his arrival. He had nothing to do with it.He's the reason your developments have been done
If he can fix manly that way I'm happy
Classic Dean Ritchie, could, might, maybe, thought to, unknown.

The only downside is having to put up with the Manly dinosaurs on the forum for decades to come, calling for their club to be brought back. It's obviously never going to happen.
But f**k me it'd be funny if it did.
Doubt we'd be ambulance chasersThe only downside is having to put up with the Manly dinosaurs on the forum for decades to come, calling for their club to be brought back.
