On a side note the Storm walking to that press conference was one of the lamest things I've seen. Mainly because Hoffman was trying to look tough!

Plenty of people deserve premierships and miss out. Nathan Hindmarsh is one. The individuals of the 2009 Melbourne Storm team did everything required to win a premiership and therefore, in my opinion, deserved it.

The actions of the club itself does not diminish the enormity of what the players did as individuals.

Of course it diminishes it when a fair number of them shouldn't have been there. You can go on all you want about individuals but this isn't tennis, it's a TEAM game and they assembled a team that shouldn't of been allowed to exist while other clubs had indidivuals that worked just as hard if not harder and got screwed because they didn't cheat.

Bellamy is a complete goose.

We deserve those premierships despite the fact that we paid 1.5 times as much as every other club....

Yeah - cheats don't prosper, that's the old saying right?

By round 15 there won't be so much chirping from Bellamy, nor the players - one has to wonder how their performances will suffer

People on here expect them to grovel at their feet like meek little dogs, beg for their forgiveness and bend over and humiliate themselves on the ground for the rest of the year to make them happy.

After all that then they would find something else they do not like to latch onto and cry about. for example Slater looked a little to happy or showed off a little to much out there this week. He should be in discrase and behave accordinly.

The moral of the story is no matter what the Storm do or say people will still find something they do not like.

The supporters are rallying behind the group and if they are going to make it through the season they need to circle the wangons around the team to galvanise themselves against the hatered they will be recieving.

A bit of remorse - look it up - might do your club some good.
As it is, acting unrepentant and forging a seige mentality only strengthens an ''us'' and ''them'' mentality.
What do you expect the rest of us to feel when we see your team celebrating....your club has ruined this competition

Why do you care anyway. If you don't like it , don't read it.
He is obviously a rugby league fan, we all care...we cannot pretend it didnt happen like some that cheat do.

Hasn't the evidence been coming out already?

In the paper yesterday they told how Hanson presented contracts to the NRL, one was the signed 'NRL copy' for 400k, the other was the signed 'player copy' for 550k + 50k in gifts. They named Inglis and Smith as having signed such contracts, Slater had apparently not yet signed his offer sheet.

How Cam Smith can sit down and pretend that he is innocent in this matter is WELL beyond me...

it's called denial

In the abc interview, Gallop said something along the lines of any player who signed two contracts HAD to have had alarm bells ringing

common sense, no?

The delusion is just amazing, they still think they did nothing wrong FFS! You rorted the cap for the last 5 years cheating the other 15 teams and their fans, and still playing the victims

:lol::lol:

Did Gallop have any alarm bells ringing for 5 years?

Thats what Gould said about Gallop actually.. maybe Gallop has used what gould said to him and turned it around to the Storm and tried to make out like he made it up all on his own..

Knowing something and proving something are very different though isn't it simo?

Gould can garble on all he likes about this but a certain burden of proof must be met before any action can be taken. It is required for a just outcome.

The sad thing is that the Storm management appear to have known they were under investigation for some time and were so confident in their deception techniques that they did not change their methods at all.

I wonder if Wally Waldron had stayed on would this have ever been uncovered.

I can see the point in the seige mentality Bellamy is employing but if any linkage comes out to knowledge by he or any one of his players than with the path he has chosen to go down he has painted himself into a corner

As individuals, they DO deserve those premierships. As a group of individuals, they did everything that was required of them to be on the winning team of a grand final. They can be proud of the sacrifices they made, their skill level, toughness, dedication etc.

Unfortunately, the Melbourne Storm football club cheated the system and does NOT deserve the premierships. It is for this reason alone that the players will be erased from the record books; not because the players didn't do all that was required of them. That's all Bellamy is saying...

Agree. Its all well and good to have the dream team but you still have to perform on the field. Look at Australia in the World Cup, had the dream team but didn't win the World Cup.

These guys are delusional, playing the victim every time they open their mouths.

It was good to see that the fans still turned up for the game and overall it may end up solidifying the fan base somewhat.

The nonsense coming from Bellamy, Smith and co though is laughable. At least when the Bulldogs got caught they didn't whinge about being hard done by, well not as much as these clowns.

i agree can you imagine the public outcry if the storm were accused by the nrl of cheating the salary cap without any proof and found innocent? they could sue the nrl for millions

Some of you merkins are unbelievable. Bellamy and the players feel just as cheated as anyone.
Put it this way, put yourselves in their shoes (assuming theyre innocent) wtf would you do? Wtf would you say?
You think your a victim? Think about the players who worked their arses off for a premiership. Why do you feel cheated again?

Because they won premierships they didn't deserve.
