Some of you merkins are unbelievable. Bellamy and the players feel just as cheated as anyone.

Some of those players weren't feeling cheated when they were being given hundreds of thousands of dollars more than they signed for.

I've got sympathy for the Storm fans, no fans deserve this sort of thing happening to them but I've got no sympathy for the club, for Bellamy (because he's acting like a prick throughout this thing... newsflash, cheating doesn't deserve to be rewarded) or for the individual players that signed those dodgy contracts. People can say what they want about how the players wouldn't be aware of how it all works etc, but in this day and age with player agents/managers etc surely they would've had some idea. I read that someone was paid 20 grand for doing "security" at the Melbourne Cup... wouldn't that seem just a little bit off to you?

Like I said, if you're getting paid extra money I can understand why they kept their mouths shut, but don't start playing the victim now that you've been caught.

You think your a victim? Think about the players who worked their arses off for a premiership. Why do you feel cheated again?

Those are the same players who signed 1 contract to go to the NRL, and then ANOTHER ONE for a couple hundred thousand more to be kept in a 'secret file'.

Oh yeah - I feel REALLY SORRY for those cheating scumbags.

.

Oh wait up! They SIGNED for those hundreds of thousands of dollars more....

2 contracts per player[/b ] - one fake one to be sent to the NRL; one for the actual amount the player was getting paid.

Bellamy needs to stop talking out of his arse and just cop the punishment. Go see a shrink or something if it's troubling him, or get one of those sponsors to pay for it.

Well obviously the way Bellamy has been acting is the way any innocent person would. Maybe he should say "Sorry i was too stupid not to see what was happening, I was too busy doing my job"

I can see how the players would know but why would Bellamy? Surely he wouldn't be told what players are getting paid and the money he is receiving has nothing to do with the cap.

Common sense would say the coach and effectively the 2nd in charge at the club who seems to like to control everything would have a impact on what certain players sign for. I doubt he says to the CEO sign or let go player x and has no input to the value. A good coach would be looking at players values on the books and how they can squeeze new players in etc, and Bellamy is a damn good coach and would be involved in that side. You have your head in the sand imo if you think their is no chance at all that he is involved. How convenient is it that all the blame is being pushed onto people who have already left the club? Bellamy is being protected imo. I would like to think I am wrong and I could be however I think the odds would say he had some idea of the goings on with salaries.

Bellamy is by far the worst loser in the NRL. It makes him look like a rubbish coach now we all know he has cheated his way to the top.

'I think to a man it's probably the proudest moment of all our careers.'

Oh really Cam, Pull the other one. I would of thought the proudest moment of your career, was when you were paid a large amount of money, by the storm, albeit illegal monies.

Anyone who thinks Bellamy didn't have the slightest of ideas about what was going on, should take their hands off it.

When Mason was been shopped around in January and February, Mason thought he had a deal with the Storm. But when the NRL started investigating at that time, for breaches, Bellamy and the Storm do a back flip, in regard to Mason, as it will only attract more attention and speculation toward the storm.

If Bellamy knew from the start, that the storms cap was full, would he of shown interest in Mason????? And don't tell me he didn't know if the cap was full or not.

Probably how they signed Finch and Newton as well.

I don't know about Bellyache but Matt Elliot said he knew what the players got.

Put it this way, put yourselves in their shoes (assuming theyre innocent) wtf would you do? Wtf would you say?

I must applaud you for your conduct as a Storm supporter this weekend. However, who cheated the players? It was their own club, mate. That's where Bellamy should aim his anger. Yet, they have shown solidarity with their club - the cheats.

When he realises there are 15 other teams, 375 other players and a few million other fans that also feel cheated who are getting the blame.

As a Storm fan, don't defend the pr*ck - he is siding with the evil arsewipes who caused this problem!

he and the players have been cheated: their premierships stripped, prizemoney refunded, made to play for zero points all season but he doesnt seem to understand we have ALL been cheated: every club, every player, every fan

its mindblowing to think of how this act by just one club has created a ripple affecting the whole nrl, things have been so fundamentally changed its impossible to imagine how the last 5 years would have played out if melbourne had been competing legally

Spot on. An 'innocent' coach would be blasting the pricks who did this. Doesn't sound too innocent to me.
