Just a reminder: dragons started this whole mess of signing halves on massive overs when they offered Hunt 1.2 million a season.

Where did it get them?
For this reason his request is a gift. So long as they don’t make the same mistake again

I agree with you.

For the Dragons to come out of this on the right end they have to play hardball with Ben Hunt and negotiate with the club he is set to spend the next few years at. Broncos can only offer money, which in the short term does nothing for their football department.
Agreed . The Dragons need to just loan to Broncos ( cause he doesn’t want to be there anyway and it makes them look good and him bad)
And meanwhile hang onto that contract for 24/25 . Anyone that wants it released should then come to the negotiating table

Disagree tell Hunt he can leave at the end of this season. It may do the Titans a favour & teach him some humility.

So Gaz didn’t leave an NRL club 👍

But Brisbane we’re happy to release TPJ otherwise he would’ve seen out his contract. I’m stunned this basic premise has escaped you. Why are Brisbane always the victims?
So if the dragons release Hunt he might come to the Broncos.

So you agree with my statement RE: TPJ, that Brisbane were not the victims in that scenario. They (TPJ & Brisbane) reached an amicable decision. What does the TPJ scenario have to with Hunt?

Nope it hasn’t escaped me. If he leaves this year he is playing for Brisbane for the remainder of 2023.

I don't get how goi to the Drongos works for Hunt in terms of not wanting to play hooker.

If he went to the Titans, sure...

He’s the type of person who thinks he’s the main character in every story.

He wouldn’t play 9 for us because that would mean doing something for the team. But that dropped ball has to be a strong motivating factor for him.

He thinks he’s found his redemption arc. Hope the precious little turd drops another GF.
