If it was because he signed with the Dragons, it would have happened immediately afterwards. It happened because he got injured and his replacements were better then he was. He returns and the club took a step backwards.

We'd be more than happy to swap McGroan for him.

before hunt's signing, they had 1mil of cap space that could have been used for the upgrade of those players.

The contract value for Hunt has been declared BS by Millward so I don't place too much weight in his contract costing us players. Most supporters are pumped he is signed because we have only had a makeshift 7 for many years.

packer went for at least 300k per year more.

that's only an extra 350k between them not counting the 300k upgrade widdop got.

claiming hunt slightly cost less makes zero difference to the cap space available at the time before those players finalised their futures.

I honestly don't see why people on here are saying it's the Dragons doom. He isn't bad and will likely improve with a stint in reserves and with a change of scenery. On top of that the Dragons have a much better forward pack than the Broncs for him to play behind.
