Settle children.

Eela RJ does have a point and imo has expressed his opinion. Afterall this is a forum.

I am very happy Benny has resigned but as RJ and a few others have mentioned four years may be a tad rich. Hopefully the contract is for next to nothing or else it may come back and bite us.

And yes the club / coaching staff are a lot more expertised in this field than I and therefore hope they know what they are on about. In four years time I hope I'm posting an apology to the club and Benny about him signing this deal.

Nope, not really, i think it's quite the opposite actually.

And i only used the Jake point as you mentioned that the board, coach etc crap know more argument, eye for an eye.

so you're offended that I've said the coach knows more about the players than you do?

Actually what i did say is that he's better judge than you and I..care to challenge that?

geez, for someone who's got quite an ego you sure know how to bruise easilly

yep, because to suggest he's the best defensive centre in the game when he hasn't played a game of rep football:crazy:

rightly or wrongly that's still an opinion...I'm certainly not pointing a gun to your head saying that you shouldn't call him a sh*t player.

No eela, that argument is just stupid, offcourse they have more expertise, they're paid to do a job and are professionals, the point is you can use that argument on anything which suits your agenda, however coaches are also very prone to mistakes, remember Feleti Mateo and B Smith? and what about Jarrad Hayne not getting a run under a certain coach? see what i mean?

Sometimes fans can see things clearer then some coaches, after all coaches have there faults as well be it communication, judgement etc.

And believe me i don't bruise that easily, you should know that by now.....

just be realistic with your opinions that's all:lol:

See, if i were to say that Greg Drake was the best forward in the game even though he never played an SOO game etc would just be plain stupid, to say B Smith is the best defensive cnetre in the game when he had moments of madness in defense last year and he and Eric were targeted in defense would be the same.

And the fact he has either played a rep game and being rushed into the forwards to make way for better talent.

difference betwen you and I on this is quite simple, I agree that term is extreme from the surface but without knowing the finer details of the contract I'll reserve my judgement...[just call me a fence sitter]

you believe he's made a mistake [Hagan] without knowing how the whole project will turn out.

but hey that's fine..and I except that.

Greg Drake was a fat slob who played 5 too many first grade games...

well ok fair enough, i may well be wrong on this one? but i may also be very very right, however i have reason to be skeptical, i've seen so many players come back from Knee Reconstructions and never be the same player, i could use Bert as an example of that.

Imo 4 years is too long for a at risk average to good player recovering from injury and being forced to play out of his preferred position. 1 - 2year contract extension maximum would have been a better option Imo.....
