A stupid question? weren't all three contract up for renewal at the end of the year and Riddell next year? so i asked you a question, about who you would prioritise, I'd rather Riddell and Finch then Ben Smith

lol i like how you mentioned 'potentially' for B Smith. So basically you're paying for potential eela?

just like we contract every young player just like we give lifelines to players like Gulavao and finch..

there all investments..sometimes they come off sometimes they don't, it's no secret that Smith will eventually be used in the forwards at some stage at the end the day you and I can't tell whether the gamble will come off or not.

better people than us made that decision..I'll just wait and see.

I dont understand what some fans have against Benny. He's a rep player, and has massive potential both in the centres or at lock. We can't have a Nathan Hindmarsh or Jarryd Hayne type player in every position otherwise we'd have to ask the NRL for a 10 million dollar cap. FMD, lets just relax for a few seconds and wait and see what he can produce when the season starts.

Remember Mark bell and Scott Donald?

Out of curiosity, how many of those trys were scored when Brian Smith was still at the helm?

yeah..they were wingers...apples and oranges.

why don't you compare Mark Tookey to Tulson Tollet..you might as well??

I can only see Ronny going on like a pork chop about it even Jakes decided to take his bat and ball and go home

again, you've got no idea what's in the contract so what's the point going on like a pork chop about it???

give me facts, figures and link to his contract and i'll make my own judgement.

Again, WHO GIVES A sh*t WHAT'S IN THE CONTRACT, IT WAS A CONTRACT FOR 4 YEARS.

Here's a question, name one player that was re-signed to a four year deal after a knee reconstruction and had just been considered solid rather then spectacular prior?

Eela, who would you rather re-sign

a) Ben Smith
b) Mark Riddell
c) Brett finch

I bet after a second you don't even realise that Ben Smiths names there right?

A team like the tigers would sign Smith first seeing they have Marshall at half, and Farrah at hooker, whilst a club like Penrith would sign Finch or Riddell seeing they need a half / hooker before a centre. To answer your question, we have enough talent or depth in the 7 & 9 position hence the priority signing of Benny. Besides, the other 2 would probably command double what Benny has signed for. Isn't that reasonable?

I agree with what you're saying, however the fact is that a 4 year deal was given to a guy that has never played a game of second row in firsts, and just had a knee reconstruction.

Get my point?

don't know don't care...:?

you're the only one hyped up about it, so much so that you've decided to take subtle digs at peoples opinion and given it to Hellsy who's probably been a season ticket holder for half her life and probably seen more live games than you've had baked dinners..

hows this..i don't give a f**k and I'm not interested in the last player who may of signed a 4 year deal after a knee reco..totally irrelavent imo.

The funny thing is Jake has proven himself over and over in relation to sighting good talent and been a great judge of junior development, the best on this forum.

Lol oh i'm so sorry, because i dont wank over every player and harrass them after the games i wouldn't know sh*t right? because i don't go to every game but rather watch it on tv due to my present and previous locations? i must be watching another Parramatta eels playing? it doesn't matter live at the game or not i still see the games.

The fact is i've been a supporter since 86 ( six years old, and have seen a sh*t load more games then hellsy would ever imagine ( no disrespect to hellsy) but it's true.

Firstly, your point is based on an assumption not fact. What if we were to assume Parra wins the comp this year and Benny plays centre. A team like Wigan or St. Helens could quite easily throw 450K at him so signing him at 150K a year doesn't seem so bad. Assumptions dont mean much, but what we can factualise is that players like Inu, hayne, Hindy would have been pleading for him to re-sign.

As a supporter, 2008 feels like the most spirited year in a very long time. I feel a sense of bonding beween a group of players I haven't seen before since 1986. This ingredient is the most important ingredient if you want to win tittles and each member of the squad is prepared to except less in terms of money in return for friendship and the possiblity of being part of history and the ultimate prize. That we should all be proud of!

lol at Ronny...

well Ronny you're obviously rattled son....sometimes the everyones wrong on I'm right arguement, just doesn't stack up, maby start excepting other peoples opinions without the patronising them, you then may get a little more respect..

don't worry mate, when Tony Williams becomes an international I'll make sure you told me first just to keep that ego stimulated..

nice chatting to you ;-)
