Not lately I'm not. Although, with that one handed pick up and assist in the WCC, who gives a f**k how many hit-ups he takes.

Why are we continuing to waste our time worrying about this bloke? He's gone................

you are right but the way he left has left a sour taste in many fans mouths. i very rarely carry any sort of emotions for people that play no direct impact in my life. however i will always remain spiteful towards glenn morrison and ben teo.

We had niff nuffs like Heighno to do the dog work. If he did his job properly Teo would be able to score those doubles and set up trys like he did when our pack was going forward.

I must be watching the Richmond Tigers instead of the Wests Tigers because i cant understand how you could say that about Heighington. If not for him, the tigers would have got the wooden spoon last year. Was one of the few players that actually put in last year.

We built him up from a Balmain junior and he bailed for the first offer that came his way, then gave the BS about it wasnt for the money. There may be more that went with the story? im sure Tiget Nick will remember the full details.

balmain brought him down from the central coast whilst he was still in school and put him on a scholarship. they turned him into a very promising young player and paid for his schooling amongst other things. he progressed through the juniors and played a year or two for us in first grade. at the end of 96 he had verbally agreed to a large long term deal.

then when the season ended he went on a holiday and got his manager to send us a fax saying he had signed with norths as he didnt believe balmain had a future in the game. wayne pearce left numerous messages for him which he never returned. didnt have the guts to speak to anyone at the club.

two years later norths went bellyup and he never got all of his final year contract paid out to him. theres karma for you.

So he went to the Cowboys for a few years, before bailing on them for Parra for 05 to "increase his chances of playing in a grand final." The prick got what he had coming, that 29-0 game really brought a smile to my face (and I don't like the Cowboys at all or Parra, so I didn't care who we played).

hahaa how could i forget that. i remember him declaring he was leaving the cowboys in order to pursue his dream of playing in a grand final and rep footy, as he couldnt achieve these at the cowboys. he leaves after 04 and in 05 the cowboys play in a grand final and luke odonnell plays origin and for australia hahaa

More talent in his left one than the blokes we've kept. Showed in the WC what he can do with good people around him getting him up. I bet we regret it.

Yeah, Heighno is sh*t.

If that useless, dog-it sack of sh*t Te'o becomes the next Andrew Johns, I'll still not miss him for a split second.

No denying that Ben Te`o is a massive talent, but laziness and a seemingly lack of desire is holding him back at the moment. I`m sure he`ll come good at the Broncos, but I think it was a wise move cutting him lose as I believe that he thaught everything would come too easy and probably needed a club to cut him lose to give himself a bit of a reality check.
On a similar subject, what a disgracefull decision to cut Liam Fulton and keep Dene Halatau, it`s the mismatch of the century to even compare the two.
One game into the season is enough for me to reconfirm my belief that Halatau is an imposter of a starting first grader. Sure he offers good utility value of the bench, but he`s on a starters wages !!!

Several players were offered, and Fulton was the only one who's price wasn't too high. Says a lot about how much we pay our players.

Starters wages for both of them if you ask me.

Too true Vish, he missed two tackles that led to tries.

It's like suggesting Lauititi or Solamona or someone should be taking hit ups. It's not their job! He's a wide running impact second rower and using these blokes as battering rams is why we suck and have sucked from the moment we started trying it.
So your suggesting the Broncos forwards are just as bad as ours.

Even though they managed to keep a faster and more skilled team, which includes the test halfback, to less points than we did against a team of seconds that no-one wanted. Granted, Canberra performed miles better than us last year, they aren't a more skillful or faster team than the Cowboys.

Face it westie, you can't be a good back rower if you are standing at outside centre all game.

It doesn't matter how good your forwards are or not. If he wants to be a back rower, he should stop trying to play like a winger/centre and do some f**king work.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have him in the centres. Or restructure the team to set up for players like him. Now that I think about it, many good GF teams have done so with similar players. Parra and NZ the teams of the two I previously mentioned.

You've got to face it - Not everyone can be an average work horse in a forward pack. If we had a team full on Heighnos, we'd struggle to post points. Teo and Bronson are class, expecting them to do the dog work is why we sucked and I can't believe you can't recognise it. It's like wondering why Collis doesn't come in to run it in to Civoneciva - it's not their game.

Westie I don't think people expect them to be workhorses.

However I think people expect that they (Teo) tackle with attitude and play with enthusiasum.

Blaming Sheens or Heightington or whoever for Teo's effort at the Tigers is silly. The guy was lazy and he admitted it himself. Becaue he is not a workhorse doesn't mean he has to bludge. And boy did he bludge in some games when his contract talks were on going. He was sulking pure and simple and deserved to be shown the door. He was often playing out in the centres so you can;t say he was used as a battering ram.

He had an attitude problem. And the way we leak points im glad he is gone. We scored 34 on Monday. We won't miss Teo, Ellis will do fine.

What a joke dropping Laurie and Trimachi for Galea {who isn't a forward} and that hack Corey Payne. So much for positive football
