Marshall needs to work on his tackling technique but I don't see him having a problem with defense. He is keen to defend and tries to put hits on people, once he learns properly how to tackle I think he'll be a quality defender.
I still think he should play 5/8. As bald said, we looked best when he was 5/8. The defense is thinner outwide thus Benji is much more of a threat out wide. Inside he's not a huge threat because there are more numbers in defense in the middle and he has less space to step.
