Benji is getting even worse

Benji wasn't great out there but he wasn't terrible. He has just lost his running game. He didn't really make that many mistakes either.

Surely you're baiting.
Benji passing mistakes were terrible. Cost us a certain try when we were still in it.
He murders momentum.

He did stuff up one play when he just should have run it but he wasn't the problem out there by a long long way. I thought he was average - he has lost his running game and now simply isn't worth the dollars he is on yet alone a contract upgrade.

I'm definitely not baiting and I haven't been drinking either.

Anasta is like an old-time boxer; last to know when his time is up and his time is up. No more 1st grade please.

Benji has even lost his pass; so what is the point.

Farah doesn't seem interested.

I feel sorry for the remaining guys who are putting 110% in.

We need to plan for next year and would drop Anasta, Marshall, Ayshford for the rest of the season. Don't see any point playing players that are moving on. We will lose most of our games for the rest of the season. Players don't care its obvious.

What is more concerning is Potter playing Anasta and Marshall and leaving Siro on the bench. What msg is that sending. Play like a hack and you can start. Seriously bad coaching however, the Club looks to be weeding out the poor performers so lets wait a couple of years.

Sironen is carrying an injury and his minutes need to be limited, so that's why he started on the bench.

Marshall was beyond ordinary again tonight, just like he's been all year.

Farah is busting his gut, he certainly looks interested. He is suffering because of our lack of creativity as he thinks he has to orchestrate all of our big plays. To say he doesn't look interested is plain wrong.

Benji has played his worst football since he knocked back the contract, he is just not in the game. Last two weeks have been close to the worst of his career.

I didn't see it that way. We are all entitled to our opinions - he looks flat (could be the fallout from losing SOO or Benji, who knows).

Farah just looked completely lost with his two halves f**king around like they were. Robbie needs a halfback he can work with. I seriously wish Brooks and Moses were 2 years more experienced...now we have to play the waiting game

Marshall is getting worse his having a lend of us and so is Ayshford.

The murdered overlap after Simona's break was indicative of how Benji has fallen off this year. That play killed us, although we got the penalty Braith threw a cut out ball at Simona's feet and Lyon went 90 on the counter to score. Turned a 12-10 lead into a 16-6 deficit, one that a team like Manly won't surrender.

I thought Benji was fine out there apart from this play. He defended well (the Matai try wasn't great but he was far from the problem there). That botched try though shows the real problem in Benji's game in that he has no running game at the moment. He has just lost that pace and the pass was a low percentage play but it was all he could do. The play after that also showed us how poor Anasta was - he just botched that and Manly scored. Later on Benji gives it to him on the breadbucket and Anasta drops it and Manly score.

I'm surprised Anasta was that poor out there. I haven't seen his hands be that bad previously. He also lacks pace. I just can't see a role for him in the halves at all. In the backrow he is worse as well. Potter apparently recently stated that Anasta would be on of our halves next year - he needs to come up with a better option or Anasta needs to improve considerably.

I don't know what game you were watching. Benji was horrific last night. I've stood by Benji this whole time in the hope that he'd come good, but last night was the final straw. He is finished and I'm so glad he made the correct decision in leaving. I think he'll play out the season simply out of respect of what he's done for the club, however I couldn't stand watching him for another season.

As for Anasta, he has to go now. I did think we could have kept him around for depth next year, but last night was beyond bad. One of the worst individual games I've ever seen.

Benji almost looked like he was taking the piss at times in that game. Him & Anasta were down right terrible!
The youthful enthusiasm of our youngsters is what seems to be getting us points right now, We are at times so painful to watch. Esp in the opposition 20m line

I have defended Benji for ages but last night sealed it for me. He put in the hard yards chasing Lyon.. knowing a step was coming.. swallowed it hook, line and sinker and promptly gave up.

Is it true Benji now wants to stay a Tiger?
In what capacity? marketing, accounts, pre game motivational speaker, kicking coach?

Plenty have said it and if this is a back flip from Marshall and his manager, he should sack his manager. Offer him $50K and introduce him to Fletch and the NSW Cup squad.

Agree Robbie thinks he has to orchestrate all of our big plays.
Well gee, he is the captain and he sees his 6 & 7 playing like they did last night. He has had to put up with Marshall all year playing like he has, he has had to put up with a rookie No 7, what's he suppose to do?

There was one play last night when he and Fulton took over the roles of Anasta and Marshall, they were in the Manly 20 or there about, Fulton 1st receiver passed to Farah who put a kick in for his winger.
thinks he has to
I think last night, he and Fulton simply knew they had to.

Don't get me wrong - I also think he is done. He just lacks the pace and zip to be a force in the league anymore.

I just don't think he has been that bad. He just looks like an average player now.
