If we've got to shed a player may I volunteer Kyle Stanley and Will Mathews, two players who soak up cap space and who we get no return from, cue the Stanley army!

Pretty obvious, if he will announce the signing on Footy Show that CH9 are backing 3rd party deal, either sharks or Dragons, but the way Gallen was talking this morning on Sky BSB, you'd think Dragons may be a smudge ahead of Sharks...

Benji tipped to pick the Dragons on tomorrow night's Footy Show

By Paul Haigh

May 7, 2014, 10:51 a.m.
The waiting game for Benji Marshall’s signature is still on.

The Dragons and Sharks are still waiting for the affirmative answer from the former rugby league international.
Marshall quit the game at the end of last season — after 201 NRL games with the Wests Tigers — to join the Auckland Blues in the Super 15 rugby union.
Then a fortnight ago he made the shock choice to quit and wanted to return to league.
It is understood, that Marshall, who will be on the Channel Nine Footy Show on Thursday night, could make his announcement.
The Dragons have firmed in the betting to get his signature in recent days.
Their offer is worth $1.1 million for two and half years.
The Sharks offer is believed to be about $1 million for two and half years.
The Leader understands that Marshall is close to deciding, St George are favourites and he would play halfback.
Coach Steve Price has consulted his senior players who have given approval to sign him.
Dragons five-eighth Gareth Widdop and second rower Bronson Harrison said they would be happy to have Marshall play in the red and white.
Harrison is a former housemate and close friend of Marshall.
Cronulla skipper Paul Gallen said Marshall would be welcome at the Sharks and his skills were an asset.

If ch9 are a third party backer maybe we will get some more air time in the second half of the season ?

Oh no, we'll have to get someone 10 years younger who is hungry and on the way up.

Unless he can make 180 metres a game and 30 tackles that hurt we really dont require him.

Marshall is the cart and our pack is the horse.

The first 20 rounds are locked in, so from the last 6 there are 3 good chances - Roosters, Panthers & Broncos

Others ?
Raiders - Ch9 don't like doing their games
Titans - similar, but if they're still in the top 8 are Dragons are going ok, it's a chance.

Round 26 v Knights ? - doubtful. Roosters v Rabbitohs will be one, possibly Storm v Broncos, Cowboys v Sea Eagles is likely & Titans v Bulldogs. But that round & other late ones will obviously depend on standings.
