Bennett to be axed.

The difference is that Bennett won 5 of those premierships with a squad of over 9 rep players in ever team. Anyone could have coached those Brisbane teams to win 5 premierships. This year Mary now has a team that will possibly have around 6 to 8 rep players and his team is leading the comp.

Anyone? Does that include Steve Price?

I'd say with a fair amount of confidence that your statement regarding Origin representation is inflated by some margin.

Hate him!

The Chicken Wing. The Grapple. The Crusher. The Cannonball. The Reverse Cannonball. Grego Roman Wrestling and the exploitation of Pressure points. Plus, lets not forget the ever reliable Christmas hold!

Did I leave any out?

People of his ilk are ruining the game. Personally, I think that his style of coaching is the kind of pox that NRL researchers need to find a cure for.
Are ruining the game, look at the game for the last ten years. It’s already ruined. Guess you’ve just got to adapt to what the league has let happen. May as well get the best at it.

My god.
War and Peace.

My passing comment is you obviously love the biggest rorting coach in the history of the game.....then go follow Melbourne like the other 7,000 people in Australia do.

It's your right to love him, but writing pages and pages of crap says you really detest being challenged or questioned.

So it doesn't matter that he cheated, you say.
Shows your character!

You say him cheating does not diminish his coaching success.

Then you are a fool.

If a coach spends one more million dollars every year than his competitors, of course it gives him a massive advantage across many years!

Are you for real saying an extra million to sign Star players does not help?

FFS, back to school!

You say if any team loses Smith, they would also only win 33 per cent of their games.

Well every other team does not have Smith, and they do not only win 33 per cent of their games!

Your argument is childish and desperate.

If Bellamy was a great coach, losing one player would not see him fall to an appalling 67 per cent loss record.

That's worse than STEVE F###ING PRICE!!

You say we do have dickheads.

Well no we do not!

Exactly who?

Yes, We have signed players who were PREVIOUSLY dick heads... but they stopped being dick heads once they were in our team.

Bellamy is a dick head, the difference is he is THE boss, there will be no one to stop him being a dick head, he will screw our culture.

Players we recruit are pulled into line, Bellamy won't be pulled into line.

If you cannot see the difference, I suggest you need to go back to school.

Debating with you is like discussing things with Pauline Hanson or Trump.

So....for a while I will put you on ignore as I feel embarrassed for you. And I don't want to make you answer back and forth as your answers really do suck.

Now, go and get a quote to relocate to Melbourne....or will it be Brisbane next for Belly?
Epic meltdown! Particularly impressed by the name calling, straw man arguments and inability to come up with anything remotely resembling a coherent argument or reason that he’s a poor coach. Showing your age or IQ level (or both?) as well as your astute rugby league knowledge. Well done.

Yeah, even Steve Price could have coach Brisbane to win 5 premierships with the squads that Bennett had when he won them. My statement regarding Brisbane always having at least 9 origin reps when Brisbane won their comps isn't inflated either. It was even more sometimes.

OK Jimmy, I just looked up Brisbane's winning grand final squads and I can say with fair amount of confidence that my statement that Bennett coached Brisbane teams that won the comps contained at least 9 origin representatives was actually extremely deflated. lol

Their 1992 squad contained 17 players who played origin at one time or another. lol

Their 93 squad contained 15 players who played origin.

Their 98 squad contained 15 origin representatives.

Their 2000 squad contained 20 players who played origin at one time or another.

Their 2006 grand final team contained 16 players who played origin at one time or another.

Yeah, Steve Price would have looked like the best coach in the history of the game if he had coached those sides. I would have looked like the best coach in the history of the game if I would have coached those sides. My mum would have looked like the best coach in the game if she had coached those sides and she doesn't even know the rules for footy.

I think that I just well and truly proved my point. lol Bennett had the best cattle when he won his comps at Brissy. Case closed!

What were we debating again?

I was well aware of Brisbane high Origin content during its premiership years.

(Did someone say mention 'salary cap'? Nah!!!)

My remark about Origin "exaggerations" referred to your belief that Saints could have eight or 9 representatives this year.

It won't be anywhere near that number.

Even before last night, I reckon only JDB, Frizell and Hunt will play.

Let's see how I go.

I said that our team could POSSIBLY have 6 to 8 representative players this year, including Graham and Widdop.

Even stating a POSSIBLE eight or 9 SOO representatives is an exaggeration.

As stated, in reality the number is about three.
Unless there are injuries, it will at the very least be 5 rep players in this year's team. I think Hunt, Widdop, Graham, DeBelin and Frizell are certainties if fit.

Has Graham suddenly become a nationalised Aussie overnight?
No, Graham and Widdop will be representing England. lol If the reports are correct, we will have DeBelin, Vaughn, Frizell and Hunt in origin, that will make 6 current rep player in our team.

Well in that case you would think we would have done much better vs Penrith, warriors and Souths.

Why is it our Rep players never seem as tough, good or as fast as other teams rep players?

Must be the salt air in the gong.

We had 4 players selected for the first origin game and 2 current English reps in our team. We also have Sims who is 18th or 19 man for origin. Cam McInnes would also be next cab off the rank for hooker. So I was correct in saying that we could have 6 to 8 representative players in our team.

A more accurate number is five (Sims has been named as contingency, and in all likelihood won't play), but your point is noted (even if it's still slightly exaggerated). Individuals such as McInnes were overlooked, and cannot be included.

I would be very happy and excited if Bennett returned to the Dragons. The time and circumstances seem to weigh in our favour:
Broncos want Bellamy for 2019
Bennett reportedly said he had other offers and would love to live by the sea
We have a good roster and so there is not a big rebuild to do in order to be successful
Doust is on his way and so would very much like to leave on a positive note
The Baard need a positive to justify their existance
Mary needs to go; he is not a good coach

Doust managed to sign Bennett on a previous occassion and almost a 2 nd , but unfortunately ' smiley ' changed his mind and went north . If he could convince Bennett to return again , then he would at least leave the Dragons having accomplished something of note , more so after the debacle of the failed Bruce Gordon negotiations .
