Saying he was in the way is eluding to him being in the wrong place.
He wasn’t
He was standing in exactly where he was allowed to.
If the ball hits the post does that mean the post is in the way too?
There was an article presented a couple of days it all went down that quoted the nrl manual this might reinforce that point for you. The quote reads as
"In all cases when trainers enter the field of play to either; attend to an injured player, carry water, or deliver individual messages, they must immediately leave the field once their assigned task has been completed and return to the player’s bench.”
Are you suggesting that the trainer
what absolute shite
If he wasn’t allowed to be there he wouldn’t have been there
The blokes are on the field the whole game
Raiders had one as well
it was accidental.
He was 20 Metres behind the play .
just cop the loss
FFS
I have accepted the loss now however your lack of knowledge of the rules is clear, whilst your line of argument has kept me in the discussion. That doesn't mean I haven't accepted the loss.
An article that was written a few days after the game quoted the nrl manual and outlined the guidelines for trainers on the field.
The nrl's own rule 1.43.2 states that 'In all cases when trainers enter the field of play to either; attend to an injured player, carry water, or deliver individual messages, they must immediately leave the field once their assigned task has been completed and return to the player’s bench.”
Surely your not trying to suggest the Roosters were that much out condition that they needed water less than 3 minutes into the match or that these professional athletes had already forgotten their game plan after 2 and a half minutes of play.
Just because the nrl and officials are incompetent and haven't been policing their own rules as they should be doesn't change the fact that these are the rules.
And yes it is an issue across all clubs and in all games but that doesn't mean it should be or that it is within the rules of the game.
