I don't think so, not long term. RCG and Tamou together don't offer enough, and if they and Merrin start it's going to look like that for the first 25 mins. Up against Prior/Fifita/Gallen, Vaughn/Packer/JDB and Bromwich/McLean/Finucane. We need more.
Bryce can do that and do it well when thats his rolePlus I think Bryce needs to start, a bench back rower needs to be more of a running player than ball player.

I definitely saw the slow play the balls @chrisD has been talking about with RCG. He needs improvement there. That said I do think he's been hitting the line harder recently.
Interesting selection this week regarding fisher Harris, where do you guys see him in the squad if at all?
He is a tough hard hitting player and even though he has had a very disrupted season I hope he can force his way back into the team after a run in reserves.
I guess Brownes spot is what he would be aiming for.
Well we'll have to disagree.
The stats from when he was just a second rower show he doesn't hit the line hard.
Yep. He absolutely took it to Kasiano on the weekend and every run he was fighting for every inch he could get while the Bulldogs pack were targetting him.Part of RCG's issue with the slow play the ball is knowing when to give up on the run. You will see him trying for the extra yards and getting held up for an age, then he gets turtled as the ref calls held. Sometimes it's better to submit when the momentum is gone.
On a different subject, is Yeo injured again? The casualty ward on the NRL website has him as "ankle, indefinite". He did seem injured in the Bulldogs game. Does anyone know if he is likely to play this weekend? He is one of our best players and it'll be a huge blow if he doesn't play.

The NRL website had him as injured prior to Sundays game.
So I'm not sure whether its still incorrect or maybe he has re injured his ankle.
ZeroTakle has him as OK and Wallace is a chance as well.
He was one of the biggest metre eaters in the CvC game apparently. I'm a fan of his running game. He just needs to be allowed to use it more and develop it.
Read as much on Zero Tackle.
Do we rush Wallace or give him another week (+ bye makes 2). Rein is certainly deserving of another shot.
JFH - 1 week in NSW cup should just about do it. Would imagine Kikau makes way otherwise.
I honestly hope I'm wrong.
One thing is for certain is he'll need to step it up if he moves to lock. Merrin is getting huge meters at present & he probably won't play the same minutes if he moves to prop.
I'd would think Peachey would go to the lock role. Cartwright on the edge where he can use his size and offload better
