I mostly like the look of that team.

Not sure if we should go Edwards of DWZ at the back, I lean towards Edwards because of his pace.

Hiku I dunno. Hopefully we can move him on soon.

Id move Merrin to prop & play Cartwright at 13. CHN to second row.

Kikau to bench.

Hiku isnt a winger. One of those tries he stood and watched Kahu catch it and looked scared as he did so.

The trouble is we released MWZ and until Mansour is back our only decent wing option is Edwards who should be fullback.

Otherwise its dfield and Hiku is much better than him. Or Whare who is shocki g at contesting kicks also.

Mansour's return isn't too far away thankfully.

Round 12 would make sense because it's after the bye. Supposedly he's ahead of the r12-14 schedule.

1.DWZ 2.Edwards 3.Blake 4.Whare 5.Oldfield 6.Moylan 7.Cleary 8.Merrin 9.Wallace 10.RCG 11.Yeo 12.CHN 13.Cartwright 14.Peachey 15.Kikau 16.Akuaola 17.JFH

For me Latu and Tamou have been bog average this year. Latu seems afraid of the ball, and his lateral movement is far too slow. And Tamou just isn't bending the line at all, and seems to be playing in slow motion. He has been OK defensively however.

Hiku drops off in the backline. Too slow, and doesn't look interested. His effort on the Kahu try was disgraceful.

Sorry but Hiku is far better than Oldfield, he still ran 150 metres tonight, a decent effort of course marred by a terrible attempt at taking that kick.

See, this isn't true at all. He was shit for that kick, yes, but he was fine elsewhere. Our problems do not start with Hiku on the wing. At all. But because he is the chosen scapegoat, everything becomes his fault. I've never seen Oldfield play, but if mx prefers Hiku over him, then that says a hell of a lot.

Don't put words in my mouth. You'll be lucky to find a post from me bagging Hiku (other than the above).

Fact is, I don't think he's contributing at the moment. Yes he's been played out of position for most of the season. But to me, he is unfit and going through the motions.

I don't think Oldfield is necessarily a better player than Hiku based on their respective peaks, but he has a hell of a lot more to play for, and might show some more urgency.

But sure, pretend like I contribute to the anti-Hiku rhetoric that goes around here week after week. Just make sure you show the receipts.

Latu has skated so far this year but he has been way worse than Merrin and Tamou combined who have had huge criticism.

He and CHN's defense for Moga's try was absolutely disgusting. Both should be ashamed of themselves.

If TMM really is on the outer then I'd like to see:

1. DWZ, 2. Edwards, 3. Whare, 4. Peachey, 5. Blake, 6. Moylan, 7. Cleary, 8. Tamou, 9. Wallace, 10. RCG, 11. Cartwright, 12. Yeo, 13. Merrin
14. Kikau, 15. Akuaola, 16. JFH, 17. CHN

Latu needs a stint in ISP to re-discover his form.

I was reluctant to put Peach back in the centres but I want my best 17 out there and that is the only way I could really work it.

For mine:
1. Dylan Edwards
2. Dean Whare (no good winger options and imo hes not as good as Blake and Peachey anymore)
3. Tyrone Peachey
4. Waqa Blake
5. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
6. Matt Moylan
7. Nathan Cleary
8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard
9. Peter Wallace
10. Trent Merrin
11. Isaah Yeo
12. Corey Harawira-Naera
13. Bryce Cartwright

14. Villiame Kikau
15. James Tamou
16. Sitaleki Akaoulo
17. Te Maire-Martin

Latu needs a few games in reserves. Likewise JFH.
Tamou needs a wake up call. Bench him and possibly drop him if that doesnt work.
Merrin better this week. But I would move him to prop atleast until Latu finds form again. Fit the second rowers in a little easier too.
We need last years centre pairing back... the only thing Whare had over Peachey was defence and supposed passing. Both have been shit.
Whare isnt a great winger. But i believe he atleast tries to contest a kick.. and hes only temporary until Mansour returns.

Although no 17 in any positions is going to do well with the current attitude in the team. Theres only a few guys who bust their ass in defence. Look at how hard the opposition try when we have the ball. Yet the moment they do we let in soft tries early in the tackle counts. We give the opposition an 18 point headstart with soft tries.

Moylan to stay at fullback for as many games as it takes for Hook to be sacked. Then he can move to 6 and be the games best half

Gus wont sack hook this year. Moylan to 6 wont be enough to turn the season around... not even fielding the Australian side could do that.

Moylan at 6 gives our next coach a glimpse at it without him having to take the gamble... which at this stage is it really a gamble? Only real gamble is Daley miggt pick him at 6 for NSW again.. no chance it happens with his current form at 1 though.

I'd give Dallin a crack at fb first. It doesn't matter though we can't hold the ball and we can't tackle.

I think it is Whare who should be under the most pressure in that backline.

Matt was our best player last night, and even passable in the fullback role. He certainly outplayed Boyd in a well beaten team. The push for Pearce is strong, though. Daley caved last time, he will probably do so again.

It wasn't just Hiku who f**ked that kick up. Waqa is standing there ball watching when every other centre in the game would of either run Kahu of the kick or hammered him as soon as he caught the ball, but no, Waqa just stands there watching. They all f**ked up, its just another example of our pathetic will to compete. I agree Whare is doing f**k all, he may be great at setting up his winger but its not helping us and he is our wost outside back for doing the early hit ups coming out of our own end, he tries but he just isn't good at it at all.
