Alice in Chains, still going strong even after losing one of the best vocalists in rock.

Yep.....Layne Staley wasn't he?

Rooster was a devastating song with a moving video from memory. I had Sap and Jar of Flies until some merkin stole them.

Quality band. Self Esteem and Da Hui are top tunes.

Regurgitator, Grinspoon and Jebediah were Aussie favs of mine in the 90s.

They should be mentioned for Smash. Brilliant album!

Grinners Guide to a better living is the album of my teen years. Dead cat, Repeat, champion, post enebriated anxiety! Classics

Kyuss.

Although grunge was just 70s hard rock continued, Kyuss took it in an even better direction through Desert Rock. They were not the only one from this scene of course, but they were consistently the best.

One Inch Man comes to mind.....sorta stoner rock I'd say but still very listenable.

Anyone for Rage Against The Machine?

Quite a political mob but way better than Midnight Oil and U2 musically.

don't know if they were strictly 90's but the cult were a fave of mine.

Most of them have been said so I'll try not to repeat

Guided By Voices (Alien Lanes is a regular fixture when I have to compile my favourite albums of all time)
Neutral Milk Hotel (as is In The Aeroplane Over The Sea)
Eels (the first 3 albums are wonderful, as is the pre-Eels solo stuff from E)
Stone Temple Pilots (easily the best post-Nirvana grunge-esque band)
Everclear (was obsessed with Sparkle & Fade when it came out)
Weezer (I prefer Pinkerton to the blue album but they're both great)
Ratcat (even though I was like 9 when they hit big I could tell they were ace, and when I got Blind Love as an adult it was confirmed)
Pulp (the best of the mid 90's Britpop time (even though this is miles better than Britpop, which was mostly pedestrian bullshit))

and I'll mention Blink-182 because "What's My Age Again?" is one of the greatest pop songs you'll ever hear. :D

EDIT: Next time read the OP properly  I'll remention STP though.

I forgot Primus, how could I forget Primus. I don't think that Primus would have made it in any other decade to be honest

Shihad. Particularly the Killjoy album. Some good stuff on the "fish" album as well as The General Electric.

They've still released quality since their Pacifier days in the early noughties, but the 90s is where it's at IMO with them.

I saw them support you am I at the metro once.
I wS buying a Shihad shirt during the YAI set ( no crowd at the merch counter))
and I got caught by the band.
They were pretty funny ... They were stoked .
