Even
You am I
Frenzal
Cruel sea
Tumbleweed
The meanies
Cosmic psychos
The hellmen
The clouds
Etc

One band I never got to see live....damn!!!

Their album "Galactaphonic" was one of the strangest produced pieces of music in my collection. No matter how much I tweaked and twiddled with my amp, I couldn't get it to sound anything but distorted. And that's running from an Onkyo single CD player through an Onkyo SR-802 amp into custom made Accusound speakers. Not the shittiest sound system running around at about $12000 all up.

Yeah they reformed in 09/10 or so, released another album (which sounded bloody good from what I heard) and have been playing shows since

Late to the thread though I lived the 90's as teenager and loved every minute of it relating to music. Bands that I loved and STILL listen to: Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Oasis, Blind Melon, GNR, Pearl Jam, and Powderfinger to name a few. I discovered Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals in the late 90's and I've seen him about 10 times in my life time.

I forgot Primus, how could I forget Primus. I don't think that Primus would have made it in any other decade to be honest

Well they are still one of the best bands around nowdays, they are the reason I bought a BDO ticket.

How many bass players has Les Claypool inspired ?

Bass players used to be the fat uncool guys at the back of the stage.

Where would our Tal be without his inspiration ?

I have always maintained that the best band ever would have Claypool with Hendrix with some legendary drummer (I can't decide who).

Basically you would have two guitarists supplying four different guitar sounds. Whether their styles would match each other would be the biggest hurdle.

I didn't mind Primus back in the day, but they put on the most boring live show ever known.

A mid to low card festival band these days at best. Barely tolerable for even 45 minutes.

I would love to see Les C jam with John Butler, both into the funky sound, would be amazeballs.

And if you haven't seen Tal (Wakenfeld), just check out Jeff Beck at Crossroads (2007), she was 20 years old when she played there.

Just finished listening to "Galactaphonic" so I'm listening to another lost Aussie band from the 90s.....

Def FX....didn't Fiona Horne give me her surname big time....sexy little f**ker. Another band sadly I missed live.
