Yeah well Ben Smith is certainly controversial. I reckon I could find a bunch better than him. Muggo, Pebbles, Peter Wynn, Stumpy Stevens, Andrew Ryan, Wags, Dean Widders, Jim Dymock, Jarrod McCracken, Jason Smith.

One of my all time favourite Eels is Pebbles. Consistency and heart personified...

You want controversy? I'll give you controversy!

I would have Jarryd Hayne at fullback over Thornett.

Agree about Fui. How good was he and I reckon was the best prop in the game at his angry face prime.

Shame he went a couple of years too long, I think.
But there weren't many more destructive players when he was at his best, and he was at his best for a pretty decent period of his career.

No disrespect to Ken but so would I. I'm old enough to remember Ken Thornett but only in his twilight years.

I think we need see how consistently good Irvine was.

For a few years following 2009 I was yelling at Jarryd from the stands to f**king run and try a little harder.

I wasn't more yelling that at his teammates rather than Jarryd.

Loved his exit from Souths when Langmack only gave him 10 minutes game time. Next training session:
"Fui plays 10 minutes, Fui trains 10 minutes".
Then he left.

I forgot to include Semi, Fui, Jason Smith, Luke Burt...
