This opening scene is great:
A lot of great candidates here but the original Star Wars always wins out for me. The feeling I got as a kid, already excited at the sight of that rebel ship, when the massive Star Destroyer roared over my head taking up the whole screen was life changing.
Saw that movie twice on the opening day.
Love it or hate it, this must be one of the most iconic and well known openings to a movie.
Saw it 3 times in the first 2 weeks, think I have only watched it twice since then.
I was four years old I think... my mother took me to see it on one of our rare excursions to town, and I was instantly Star Wars obsessed for the rest of my childhood.
The Way of the Gun.
No chance of posting the opening here. It's awesome.
Edit - Already been mentioned roflmao
haha holy shit just checked it out. f**king crack up.
2 movies that made feel that way one was Star Wars and the other was Superman the movie What made these movies great was their soundtrack
John Williams made so many memorable movie sound tracks, Star Wars and Superman as mentioned, also Jaws, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and another of my favourites The Towering Inferno.
There is a special screening at event cinemas this Sunday...
My wife loves this movie, and Gone with the Wind.
get a divorce
Then who's is going to do the laundry and the cooking....lol
Don't worry, she'll find someone
Love the boat ride and Veruca as the bad egg, will have to watch this again soon.
I actually like The Sound Of Music too I have only ever scene Gone With The Wind once though when they had a screening at the Capital Theatre, apart from Frankly Dear I Don’t Give. A Damm I don’t remember much about it.
