Best Winger Under the High Ball?

I think Joel Monaghan and Luke Rooney are the best currently.

Ben Creagh from Saints is also quite good. In fact I don't recall him dropping a single high ball in his (short) career as yet.

I can. He had a shocker of a game under the high-ball late last year. I can't think who it was against though. I suspect Newcastle.

He let at least 2 of them bounce in front of him and they flew over his head.

Pat Richards isn't too bad under the high ball. I can't really think of any Wingers who are standouts though. Mainly because Fullbacks catch them on the fly and then pass to the Winger.

I've never seen Shannon Hegarty drop one, and since he's my favourite player i've seen alot of him on the wing. I was a little surprised when the Roosters chose Minichiello at fullback simply because of Hegs' catching skills. Hegs would make a great fullback imo.

Ahh of course the game against Newcastle last year. That memory has been successfully repressed, thus foiling any attempts at recall. Therefore, in my mind his standing among the high-ball catchers remains, despite the apparent fact that he had an all-round crap game that day.

Monaghan, Rooney, Lewis (except Hughy mainly plays centre now) and Tahu. Amos isn't too bad either (when he gets to play on the wing!)

Tahu is tall and athletic, but he struggles under the high ball in my opinion. He can make a great take one minute, and flunk a relatively easy one the next.

He was amazing under the bombs in 2001-2002. Hasn't had much opportunity on attack since though.

Luke Rooney is the best in the league.

Karmichael Hunt has been brilliant under the high ball this year. I can't remember him ever dropping one. He would be the best of the Broncos.
