I asked after last week’s game, and I’ll ask again: is he not well?

I know he’s coming of an injury but seriously he is not offering much at the moment.

Low metres, moderate tackle count, lazing around in back play sucking in seagulls.

On present form he’s the least effective of our middle rotation.

He looked off to me from the get go.

I mentioned before that he looked like he was a victim of the flu.

Aside from one run he made late in the second half the only thing I recall him doing is dawdling back onside after a defensive set.

Definitely something off with him.

I'm not saying he's been poor, but if he was fully fit he'd be offering way more than he currently is.

BHU has always been impact over workrate.
I would say his better games are those from the bench, the problem is we might have too many of those players.
We need a middle who can dominate from the start.
Don't laugh BHU another linked to the Dogs, typical Gus, but also is of note, if they want him, do we see potential in letting him go year earlier if something in the market

I disagree on BHU but also think when he plays is dependent on the bench we have

I see the value in him starting. His big body knocks defenders around, take 3 or 4 to get him down, he doesn't always run straight but that's OK insofar as it moves defenders around. Every little bit of extra work you can get big pigs to do tires them and sets up the bench to make the impact they do. I doubt BHU can bring the same impact as JW, TH and RH when they are on the bench. However, if OK comes back in he'll start meaning BHU will probably go back to the bench, probably for TH which will cause great consternation in here no doubt. I wouldn't do that if TR didn't have a fekked toe still though. It'd be TR back to the bench for mine but that mightn't work with his turf toe being fekked. It's hard to use a needled prop on the bench because they lose effect and if TR comes off the bench 10 minutes of the needle is wasted and he has to come on for the second half and play hobbled. It's easier to use TR as a starter with a fresh needle in him because he can come off and get another at half time.

It's a smallish issue for Fitz but has to be well thought out.

Did BHU do his ribs not that long ago?
Yes. There's every chance he's another one playing needled. I don't think it was announced if it was cartilage, fracture or something else but he was managed as if he had fractured rib.

It's that time of the year when half the NRL in the top tier will have needled players. The no hopers have started sending their crips off for surgery already e.g. The Tits had both Boyd and Clark finish the game last week against the mighties yet both are now out for the year.

Speaking of Clark, that reminds me.
Fancy being the dude who spent time in the bin for hitting Nicho.
Who hits Nicho?
It's Nicho FFS.
