Bidding War for Joel Reddy’s Boots
www.northcott.com.au
Friday, August 28, 2009
After tonight’s clash between the Pirtek Parramatta Eels and the Penrith Panthers, Eels centre Joel Reddy will be auctioning off a signed pair of his Puma football boots to raise vital funds for children and adults with disabilities.
The autographed boots will be auctioned off on behalf of Northcott Disability Services, a not for profit organisation providing support to people with disabilities and their families.
The auction will occur on Northcott’s website, www.northcott.com.au, and members of the public will have until Friday, 4 September 2009 to compete against one another for the boots with the winner to be notified on Monday, 7 September 2009.
Northcott Disability Services is one of the official charity partners of the Parramatta Eels, and Joel Reddy is an official Northcott Ambassador.
Joel Reddy is very proud to be an ambassador for Northcott Disability Services and to assist in supporting the not for profit organisation.
“I am grateful that I can make a difference and support people living with disabilities through Northcott”, he said. “Many of the Northcott clients I have met are great Parramatta Eels fans”.
Northcott Disability Services was established as the NSW Society for Crippled Children in 1929 by the Rotary Club of Sydney in response to the growing number of children with polio and tuberculosis. In 2009, Northcott is currently celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Today, Northcott Disability Services provides support to over 6000 people with a broad range of disabilities and their families across NSW and the ACT by offering a range of quality programs which promote a genuinely inclusive society.
