They keep saying they want to play 'smart'. I'm not sure they've ever defined what that means. They have no situational awareness. They only know where the fielders are after they've hit it down the throat.

Shame of it is the bowling attack has been improved as has fielding. Batting ability has plumettef apart from a couple of games.
What you have said is what absolutely shits me. For forever, the Heat's batting has been usually pretty good and the bowling has always been utter tripe. This year, while the bowling attack has not exactly been McGrath, Gillespie, Lee and Warne, they have more than held their own in the vast majority of games....they have done enough for the Heat to win a lot of games.
These batsmen ......f**k me. They have five f**king batsmen who have played for their country (most of them very recently), yet their approach to batting an innings is disgraceful.
The coach should not work another day there. To have that talent and play like that....find another gig.

Thunder beats Hurricanes, then Heat basically need to win both their remaining games v Stars and Renegades to make the play offs, as their NRR is poo

* Perth Scorchers need to win one of their two remaining matches to confirm making the top 5
