Better team won on the day.

Not a batting pitch whatsoever, but Thunder still posted a total despite Warners duck. Gilkes, Billings and Davies contributions were vital. Maxi the only Stars player to reach 20... Some decent bowling from the likes of Sangha and McAndrew. Fully deserved the win there.

For the Stars, we go back to the drawing board, and hope we can pick up a new opening pair for the next season

Congratulations on a great season Stars. Although tonight wasn't how they would have wanted it to end they should take pride in the run they went on to get here. There were moments in the game where they had momentum, but what cost them in this game was their fielding.

So proud of the Thunder who now go to the challenger and will fancy their chances against a still very good 6ers.

Baffles me why you brought over Harper. He really hasnt done anything for a few years with Renegades

Your better off trying to nab someone like Pierson from the Heat who looks on the outer. Very good keeper, and was starting to bat well in T20 last couple of years

For all the shit Ollie Davies copped on here for his innings he top scored with 36 last night.

It wasn't pretty but they were crucial runs on a pitch where everyone struggled except Maxwell.

Take out his 36 I reckon the Thunder probably only set 110-120 and things may different.

A classic Stoinis knock soaking up a heap of dot balls only to get caught in the outfield once the run rate started getting out of hand. Dhoni would be proud.

5th highest run scorer in the comp (regular season) but the 2nd slowest strike rate of the 20 top run scorers.
I don't mind the big rig honestly. I did feel he didn't deliver a big innings this season though.

I do wonder if that's partly because the openers (Duckett aside) had constantly failed and he's had to be rebuild so many times for us.

To show you how poorly our openers have been. Rogers averaged 5.11 across 9 innings, scoring at 83.63. Top scoring a measly 14. How the heck did he play all season? People like Ashton Agar, Fegus O'Neil, Tom Andrews, Dwashius all scored more than him and he's an opener!!!. Even the test stars who'd only played 1 or times like Inglis or Marnus scored more.

Harper did a little better averaging 14 across 11 games, at a SR of 109 . Take away his HS of 48 though and your left with an average of 9.

I hope this doesn't come back to bite him:

I don't really understand why players say these things. Most of what he said is pretty accurate but comments like "they're always scared to face us' and 'no-one really scoring runs for them' has the potential to fire the 6ers up or bit him in the backside.

Other than that, the rest of what he says is pretty good
