Are any of you guys going to the BDO? And if so who are you looking forward to seeing? Me its the kings of leon, white stripes and faker and youth group should be a great day.....

I know plenty of people don't like Franz and I don't think much of their albums, but they are a very good band live - worth seeing. The White Stripes aren't my thing, and a few years ago at BDO I didn't think much of them - but that might have changed. Kings of Leon rule, make sure you see Faker and Youth Group - both very good.

And whilst the might be a bit poppy - see The Grates. Awesome live band.

Franz surprised me. I don't really like their music but they were very good live. White Stripes haven't improved. Faker were awesome, only saw Youth Group do that Forever Young cover in passing which was quite good.

My recommendations, definitely see the Go Team, The Subways and Iggy and The Stooges.

yeh, that pretty much sums up any act

we all have different tastes, yet some will argue which band is better than the other, much like White Stripes V. Living End

(but at least Living End have a bass player and a drummer who can actually play )

Saw a little of Soulwax while I was at the bar next to the boiler room, but its not really my thing. My flatmate saw 2 many djs and said it was awesome. Apparently 2 Many DJ's and Sonic Animation incorporated a bit of Mylo into their sets.

While I thought Iggy was unbelievable, He didn't play Real Wild Child, Lust For Life, Wild America, Search and Destroy or Nightclubbing. Really needed to be a longer set.

From a personal view point I'm just not looking forward to this year's BDO. Kings of Leon, Wolfmother, Mudvayne, The Mars Volta and Shihad are the only bands I'm interested to see........it's going to be a looooooooooong day.

I try and see as many acts as I can....at Perth BDO in 04 I was all over the place and it was the best BDO experience I've had!
