NFL made it pretty easy.

All you have to do is sing popular/current songs that everyone knows and it pretty much goes off. For the record the NFL sang where is the love, tonights gonna be a good night and ive had the time of my life.

Better than some random band singing there new single noone knows.

Thanks

That was the worst "entertainment" I have ever seen in my life and Fergie showed she can not sing for sh*t without digital enhancements to her recording.

I have no idea what the NRL 2010 GF entertainment was supposed to be but I thank Christ it was NOT the Black Eyed Peas.

Was woeful. Black Eyed Peas suckitude aside, the sound was terrible. It completely lacked any fullness or impact, it sounded like an acapella performance.

Last year was way better, and The Who are like 200 years old.

BEP rock (though there last electropop albums don;t do much for me)

Helps if you have NFL money, when all you can afford is Billy Idol you can't really compare!

ps that is a pretty amazing stadium and for not much $'s really. Is cheaper than the 60k AFL one they are proposing for Perth!

Jessica Mauboy singing one of the worst songs to ever come out of Australia. Then crossed to a pre recorded video of Snoop on the big screen.

Cringe worthy stuff.

It also helps when majority of the worlds big artists are from the US, might be a big harder to get a group like the Black Eyed Peas to come to Sydney for 3 songs unless they are already touring.

Bring back Billy Idol!.........

Never heard of Jessica Mauboy and I've no idea what that dance group was supposed to be but atleast it wasn't BEP!

They were absolute sh*t. Look at any forums discussing the game and at halftime everyone was just laughing at how bad it was.

The NRL's GF entertainment does suck but this years SB entertainment was no better.

The opening number was pretty dreadful (a text book example in favour of lip syncing to a pre mixed track), but apart from a couple of moments, the rest of the show blew anything the NRL has ever done out of the water. Of course they probably had between 10 and 100 times the NRL's budget so that's no real surprise.

Nothing beats Lionel Richie TBH... :sarcasm:

I was a cynical as anyone when I heard the AFL were getting LR, but he was actually quite good.

That's all you need, a performer who has well known songs that can get everyone up on their feet and singing along.

And getting a free concert performance from him after the game at AAMI Park with thousands of jubilant Pies supporters was a weird feeling.

The entertainment is the sport. Half time is when you go grab a beer and a pie, who gives a sh*t what's on the field then
