It's a well known fact pig icons ease tension.

I've made a mental note to use that one again next time we play Parramatta. I'll also need to incorporate that dead horse one in relation to Mick Weyman at some stage next year. :D

Now stop stirring the pot dubby!

Then matt appears after swallowing bucket of stem cells and continues supporting bay and MM (its sacrilege IMO that a man who names himself after one of the greatest Raiders of alltime is so blasphemous to the club).

This crew have neither the correct answers nor the craniual capacity to produce any real solutions.
Provide proof of where I have bagged the Canberra Raiders.

I have never said a bad word about the city or the jersey which i've supported my entire life.

The direction of the club is where my concern lies(Management). Are we to continue with brain dead signings of Howell, Kelly, Irwin, Pamatangi, Dunneman, Bickerstaff and so on? I already provided proof that Henry does want Howell around regardless of this 'shopping' idea which is ludicrous, false and unproofable.

Why can't management adopt a similar plan by Manly, NZ and Penrith? Ofcourse Manly is all about location but the other two had to throw overs at Price and Petero as their clubs are situated in unfashionable areas. The playing group needs leadership, stability, and most of all, quality. Don't you think proven internationals bring that in truckloads?

Henry is headed into the most important part of the clubs history in the past decade. Along with Cronulla and Souths, we're the only sides to have not played in a GF since the ARL/SL merger. I want to win as much as the next person, it's not about 'bagging the club' as you put it.

I can remember back in 2001 having a concern about Eliott's coaching abilities and the direction we were heading with him at the helm ... I was ridiculed and called a nego until the day he announced his departure.

Now the name Elliott is held with disdain by most Raiders supporters.

Yea, I'll speak my mind on where I think the club is heading.

I do not think for a moment that our management team are perfect. I DO know that they try very hard to sign players. But, the mega-bucks crew here dont realise or appreciate how hard it is to get players to move to Canberra. Its not just the blinking cold weather!

OK dubster ... here's your chance ... tell us what a cool $50-$100K could not solve ...

are you telliing me that Mr10% is going to pass up an extra $5K to $10K on a deal by directing his client this way

now let me solve that extra $50K to $100K problem that we might have .... sign the Howells of this world to no more than $75K .... dont like it, piss off and get yourself a contract elsewhere

now ... your turn dubby ... you seem to know a lot more about this than simple me

Salary cap is what....$2.2million or something, I think.

You're proposing paying in excess of $600k to one outside back, a player in their second or third year of grade.

So roughly 25% of your cap is going to be paid to one player. Which is great, until he does a hamstring. At which time it would be the painfully repetitive Bay56 who would be on internet forums raving with his peculiar brand of mania about the incompetence of management for putting all their eggs into one basket, and becrying all the promising young juniors that just took off to the Panthers because we cant afford to pay them a competitive rate anymore.

So you end up with a team with one star and nothing but absolute nobodies - the only people who will stay for peanuts.

Yeah. Good plan. Elliot will thank you for it as he scoops the next generation of talent to go and play at the foot of the mountains.

I say again - those who can, do. Those who cant mouth off excessively in forums where they dont actually have to produce anything.

I wonder if you realise the contempt that management actually holds for people like you?

The cap is $4 million...firstly.

and secondly...we don't need ur juniors...we got plenty of our own who are as good, if not a sh*teload better. So no thanks.

I dont think it's quite $4M dude ... maybe when you add your 2nd tier and concessions.

And as for the juniors bit can you also throw that hint to your coach.

btw T_R I hope you didnt spend too much time on the maths .... in the past 6 months you've shown me you know a lot more than I about ACT law, the salary cap and ge

Not my finest hour, but the point remains - the maths for either of us don't work here, and the argument remains.

(Cap is $3.36 this year rising to $4 next, by the way).

Bay, you are always looking for the quick fix, and applying too broad a brush to problems. Life is just not as simple as you seem to think, and your lack of experience in running a business (and an NRL club is nothing but that) shows clearly here.

Fill up the tank, pack the eski and strap yourself in for a few seasons of bitter disappointment my friend.

Kleenex are on sale at the Reject Shop this week...pick up a few boxes before watching your best juniors all walk out the door while Elliott fumbles around looking for a 35 year old ESL reject hooker to replace Gower at halfback.

While you're there pick up a copy of Elliott's playbook - I hear it's going for $1.50 because it's only 2 pages long and everyone in the world already knows what's in it.

any way anyone for big willie ???????????????

The bloke hates Canberra:crazy:

He'll end up in the ESL, no one has a spare 400k lying around.

Then again Management should have had some foresight and budgeted for big stars to walk out of their club a few days before pre season training starts!

Bloody management.

Err no thanks. I don't want that wanker anywhere near my team. He's just crapping himself over being the captain of the Titanic.
