More and more people are getting access to the internet, more and more people are getting ready access to mobile phones with new media capabilities and more and more society has turned against this behaviour. The world and society is in a rapid state of change where behaviour such as this is just not acceptable. In a world where less and less money is available, you have to be setting a standard of behaviour for potential fans and sponsors. If not, then you will wither away and die. Most of the Raiders big sponsors are threatening to walk away and it happened with the Roosters last year. Raiders fans walked away, Dogs fans walked away and Roosters fans walked away. There are only so many hardcore fans out there who are happy to put up with this stuff. It's going to get much worse.

The AFL player Peter Filandia also made international news after biting a player's testicles on the field. IMO, that's about as bad as it gets, far worse than what Hoppa did.

Your thinking on such issues is skewed beyond belief. If behaviour such as this is SO unacceptable to society, why have we got a massive proliferation of media devoted to grotesque acts, violence, degrading pornnography etc.? It would seem that this is becoming the norm in your 'society'.

I haven't seen the photo and have no desire to, but if it was only simulated like Monaghan claims and nothing happend between him and the dog then nothing wrong with that.
