If people want to sledge then I don't see an issue with, BUT if you overstep the mark then maybe the player has to be prepared to cop "ok, thats great Billy, maybe we can have a chat about it outside the dressing sheds after this game, I wont head hunt you on here, but if you don't show afterward, the next time we play, all bets are off"

Exactly what the NRL needs, lets teach kids to punch that guy who sledged you AFTER the game, OFF the field (the violence on the field turns people away from junior league let alone off it). In fact, why not punch all three of them, but then he sledged damo and marto as well so we've all gotta go have a chat and then robbo sledged that other prick so they're chatting as well, wait no we're just having a brawl because the NRL guys do it.

I for one find blatant on field sledging entertaining.

I do think the players should stick to simple physical insults about each other's looks with a nice 'your mumma' or 'your sister' sledge thrown in for good measure.

I don't see what's so bad about calling someone a sook. Half the players are pretty boy sooks thesedays with there funky little tattoos everywhere and gel in the hair and porcelin teeth.
