If you wanted a mould made of a smart tough as teak number 7 it would be Billy Smith .....Well deserved too. One of my favourites.
One tough little bugger as well as being a very good footballer.
Wont be seen again , as the game has changed .....Thoroughly deserved and the best half back I’ve seen play the game. His combination with Changa was simply magical.
Both him and Tommy Raudonikas were from a different era and just so very tough.
The best half back to ever wear the Red V....and right up there with the best half backs to play the game imo..one of my top 4 players to ever grace the game along side Puff, Chook and Changa.....and obviously Im not biased...well done Smithy your a legend
They were the days my friend ..... If its high enough its long enough and its straight between the posts .... Oh Danny Boy ....Pound for pound one of the best all round footballers i’ve seen. So tough and clever. His partnership with Langlands had to be seen to be believed. Never forget the 1971 Final when they combined to sink minor premiers Manly to march into the Grand Final through their almost telepathic collaboration. Well deserved!

What a great player he was! As you said Illusion, those were the days, my friend - I thought they'd never end. At least I hoped they would never end. I was disappointed. They were the days my friend ..... If its high enough its long enough and its straight between the posts .... Oh Danny Boy ....
