Aitken didn't have his best game. He should still be 7 till Noddy gets back. When Noddy is back see how both are going and if Birdy and Russ are going well move Birdy to the backrow or he he isn't going to be a shark next year, drop him.

Bird was good, he passed and tackeld and really took on their defence, as well as a decent kicking game

And what do we see from Birdy when he finally is given the go ahead to play a traditional 5/8ths role? i.e one or two passes off the ruck and setting up supports, instead of 3 passes off the ruck and being put into half holes himself. A pretty bloody decent performance.

I know we lost but I have to say I was encouraged by what I saw from Bird and, to a lesser extent, Aitken.
I think it bodes well for the future and maybe Rapes and Noddy will see fit to start giving a little more responsibility to these guys for playmaking.

Throw Peach back in as a wildcard playmaker and there should be plenty going on

I didn't think Bird played any better than he did earlier in the year. Mind you, I thought he was playing quite well earlier in the year.

covered yourself well there mcshark
pick any game & let me tell you the ways in which this ws birds best game, ever.
it starts with only 2 missedtackles. 3 down from his average.
It then proceeds with 2 offloads. Thats 2 more than, ever.

So, Bird improved on Bird, but overall, it was a less than inspiring performance from a 5/8th.
We have a problem Houston, big time in the 5/8th department.
I seriously think Dumas should be looked at here.

I thought it was the same, and it was good. I was please to see him more involved in the kicking game, and his defence was great.

Well I can't comment on how bird went, i only got to hear the game on the radio today ..... Those commentators are so full of themselves you only get to here every 2nd set !

From what i heard he seemed to have a good 1st half, then like the rest of the team went off the boil in the 2nd

Have to wait for the replay tommorrow.

Oh and Reefy if you want to serve it up too me thats fine .. but you can comment on the rest of the post apart from clown and kent... how about bit about playing in an underperforming team for most of his career .. care to comment on that part.

Actually Millers I just watched the game again & sully didn't play poorly at all.
he tried to get things happening with dumas, Bailey, Vagana, Hilder & Aitken.
He just had no support on quite a few occassions. He tried the blind again & it didn't come off.
I think you are being a bit Silly with Sully.
& his missed tackles were 2 less than BK last time. 4.

Gotta agree with your Sullivan comments Millers.
I mentioned in another thread i think he is trying too hard at the moment especially with Kimmorley out. I thought he was a bit of a hog today and he was a bit of a hog last week too. Aitken had to give him a rev up at half time last week because Sully was not giving him the ball.
His defence i thought was ok as well until the last couple of weeks. I think he was showed up in particular today and was a bit of a turnstile as well Millers. He could do with a bit of defensive work.
I think Sully is a good player. I think he just needs to settle down a bit at the moment and get back to what he was doing before these last few weeks as he is trying to do too much.
