Guys - could you argue amongst yourselves over in the Manly forum, AE or where ever? If you'd like to discuss your teams fortunes with us, we'll be happy to accomodate but if its going to be handbags at 20 paces between Manly fans then

Thank you and good night
.

OK seeing as some did not heed the first request consider this as a warning. If Manly fans want to continue bickering amongst themselves then you will not be welcome in the Parramatta forum. Banter between rivals is fine however if you want to argue amongst yourselves you have your own forum.

OK.

I was bored and saw that report on the tele and decided to initiate some discussion.

Clearly it got out of hand.

I think this thread should be locked. It's not bearing any fruit.

I get frustrated at some manly fans? who want to whiteant the club.
We are damn lucky to have a club.

In future i will keep it to the manly forum.

As for posting in here i dont know if i want to, the urge to bag ure ceo and coach is too strong and that itself will cause more shit.

Take it easy Fellas

IMO!!

We invited a discussion about our arch rivals and ARL cousins so all opinions within reason should be welcome :D I found the rival Manly supporting groups rather enteraining, i can't see any reason why we can't continue it as long as you keep the personal attacks to a bare minimum.

I don't think we're any more divided in how our club should be run as much you guys are with yours and we've had plenty of tussles in the past but I will say that it intrigues me how someone as passionate as Mzilikazi gets treated the way he does by his fellow supporters because of a varying difference of a opinion.

heeeeeello parra/manly fans:

1) BK isn't going to turn around and say "we ain't got buckley's mate" lol.

2) Although i don't think we are title contenders, i do honestly think we are dark horses for the 8.

Mainly because of the following reasons:

a) We have an outstanding forward pack including Beaver, Kite, Kennedy, King, Watmough, Harris etc etc, which is what we have been lacking over the past few years.

b) Our backline is pretty weak, but it was also pretty weak last year but we finished 6th (i think) in attack. If the forwards can muscle up and give the halves some time, we won't have any probs scoring points.

c) Our halves are young, but Monaghan is an outstanding prospect. I haven't seen a lot of Witt play, but i believe he will fit in better playing second fiddle to Monaghan rather than trying to run the show at Parra.

d) Because if we don't, i'm gonna cry

As per usual our defence will be tested. This imo is our biggest problem, especially out wide. But i'm going to go with the Penrith attich, if you guys can score 24 then we can score 30.

I do believe we have a chance, but no doubt that i will get the half witts that just come on and demolish my arguement with a volley of ' ' and no real rebuttle.

eelavation your a twisted lad :p

not a closet eag are you.

I can be accused of taking the glass is half full approach and i really dont mind.
Of course i want manly to be successful and be the force they were before SL.

However the experience of 1999-2001 has given me a new found apperication of my club. I hate seeing them lose i despising seeing some of the floggings i saw and i enjoy the wins. But above anything else i cherish every minute of every game i get to see Manly play because for 2 years there it appeared as if i would never see that again.

Our club has some great people involved in it,
Paul Cummings former australian boss of Fuji Hanimex and Aus Businessman of the year.
Max Delmege Property Millionare
Phillip Dean Former Boss of FreshFlowers.com
Former Premier Barry Unsworth
Joe Cross - High Ranking NEWS Ltd Exec and boss of QLD Newspapers

Those people arent stupid, we have made all the right moves off the field, this is the first season since 1997 we have spent the full cap.

With out being a prick about it when we compared your clubs situation finiancally compared to ours and then compare what manly did on field to you blokes manly overachieved in 2004.

What our club needs now is support not nitpicking and mata might be a funny bloke and smart no questioning but what good is his critisim and sarcastic jibes doing for Manly?

Cliffy, I couldn't agree with you more on those points and with respect to those people. And I think I'm repeatedly on record saying as such.

Where I am critical is of areas where it seems to me the performance hasn't matched the exacting standards set by the people above. Is it wrong to agitate for excellence?

Quimby, if things go our way I agree that we have an outside chance of finals football. It will depend upon a reasonable run with injuries and at least one of this stable of smokey centres that we have coming up to the standards expected of an above average NRL Centre. We basically need someone to do a Willie Tonga (with apologies to our Parramatta bretheren).
