if we believed every club when they're Players &/or Officials spun the company line of "We can go all the way" or "We've bought quality players into the side this year, we'll come close this year"

I think it's written into the contracts of any recruit on more that $250K to come out and say that stuff about their new club

i reckon manly if they get a few early games under their belt and get some confidence going could be a dark horse.

Scott Donald love him or hate him, the man knows his way to the tryline.
Monahan and that young fullback, ((Brett Stewart or something)) are both very underrated.
They have bought big and well....
I look forward to watching em all run around this year 8)

If Manly suffer from any sort of injury toll they will struggle for depth despite their PL team finishing in the finals. They may go ok however their lack of quality backline options outside of Stewart, Donald and Hicks will ultimately decide their fate

that stewart tho - he was really carrying them last year with some good defence and line breaks - i rate him alot if he doesn't get a losing spirit instilled in him

Too much pressure on Monaghan to carry the side IMO. While they have a decent pack of forwards there isn't really anyone who is about to take the leadership pressure or playmaking pressure off of Monaghan. Witt might help but not enough IMO.

They'll be contenders................for the spoon.

Their 'big buys' Witt, Kennedy and Kite are over-rated or past their best. Their team looks pathetic.

I am perfectly willing to suggest that, had both Luke Bailey and Jaosn Ryles been 100% fit, Kite would not even have been looked at for a Blues jersey.

He is nothing special, really.

I think he is a good prop but i do agree that Bailey and Ryles are much better.

Saw the report. BK didn't say they'd go all the way. even a League player is that dumb.

You know what I think. We've been pathetic for seven years and we're slowly improving. However if we don't improve we'll all be looking for another club to support in three years time or we'll be cheering for the GoldCoast/Central Coast/Wellington Seagulls.

is that a deadline that Max has given to the club to ship up or I'm out or an assumption on your part?
