Blacklock/Ainscough or Nighty/Moz

Interesting that people don't rate Ainscough much. I though he was fantastic at the dragons. I think Morris is the best though. He makes a lot of yards out of dummy half and scores tries that no other winger in the comp would score. I think Nightingale is a sentimental favourite for a lot of people but i think its kinda like the Cooper/Gaz debate. They are both very different players, one has more flair and the other is more solid and consistent.

Ainscough was more of a centre imo

Geez the Saints have been bless with terrific wingers haven't they?

I would chose the Nighty/Moz combo if I had to but not by much.

Imagine if Blacklock had Coops or Gaz playing inside him? I think he did later in his career. Then again Blacklock scored 100+ tries so the guys he had were pretty handy.

One thing Blacklock has on the others is he can make a try out of nothing. That chip and chase against the Tigers was special followed by the 1999 GF try he scored. A deadset freak of nature.

Cant look past the current 2. Ainscough was a bit useless but it would be very hard to leave Tingha out of any hypothetical dragons attack

Ainscough was rubbish and he was on pretty big money at the time we signed him from Newcastle. More than either of our current two are on I think. But he was a bit of a nutter, so that should be worth something i guess.

All of them are class but Blacklock had the one ability that makes him special and that was that he would/could take it upon himself to win the game and did it many times.

Playing like a 2nd fullback roving around playing off the shoulder of playmakers. He would read the situation and find the stripe with such regularity it was freakish. I have never seen any other winger do this.

Nightingale, Morris and Ainscough are all top shelf finishers in their own right but Blacklock was a match winner.
