Martin Kennedy and Ben Hannant went to the Broncos with big expectations and found themselves playing QLD Cup. Adam Blair has never come close to tasting NSW Cup at WT. Different culture at the Broncos. Reputation counts for nothing there.

Did JT specifically say that we aren't signing anyone or we aren't looking at that at the moment?

I feel like they are hedging there bets just incase we dont sign anyone. If we do we can be like oh it just came up and we jumped on it....surprise!

Yeah he did say that they weren't offloading players to make any new key signings and it was all about building for 2016. I cant remember exactly the wording , but something he said at the time didnt totally rule it out .. but he was definitely 99% about no new signings.
So BJ u could be right.

I'd rather no signings than the wrong signings. I also don't want to see them save up a fortune and spend it all on one player.

Well the injury report says sironen still has 4 months of rehab on his off season surgery. So he won't be there for round 1 I'd say

The fine tuned players of today...bit like Ferraris. I remember playing all those years ago where the only ice bath in the sheds kept the Tooheys New cold, back when training was a game of touch and a few drink afterwards. No one seemed to get injured like they do today.

Sironen being out for 4 months is a huge problem. No doubt he is seen as our future second rower and to miss a preseason and the early rounds, he is going to come into the team well behind the pace.

it will be a waste of a year.

Sironen needs an entire offseason to learn how to think and play as a back rower.

pushing him into that role again this year when fit will see him play like he did this year.
