actually on a personal note, i used to take advantage of it as it allowed me to purchase discounted tickets and recieve the news letter on line..I couldn't give a stuff about the bells and whistles..

I think the majority of us also agreed that the club should continued with the $25 fc membership option without the crap for existing members...but we had this arguement a few months back didn't we??

I have no problem with a $25, $50, $70 or even $100 membership...as long it is all for membership.
I just signed up as a member of QRL Club SouthsLogan Magpies. Membership fee is $110.
There are no bells and whistles with that, just fair dinkum membership, to help prevent a great Club from going under.

good for you Pete! so what will happen if they part ways with Canberra? or have a change of regime? or ingore your requests of having their AGM redirected to Hay?

you know this could be easily fixed by paying the $70.00 and specifically request the club just donate your pack to a kid at Ronald McDonald house..

a few months ago, parramatta were apparently ignoring people like you in the bush by increasing the price of membership, today, it's all because of the bells and whistles...lol

Or even better, Tim mannah could take the pack and give it to someone in Rwanda.

where have I accused you of whinging?..tbh, you're entitled to gripe if you feel the need to, unlike some, atleast you forked out your hard earned cash for it..

btw, in previous years we've never had this issue with the BGA pack, however it was about $30.00 cheaper as it didn't include the football club membership, but the pack itself appeared consistant to what we recieved now, although MITS thinks otherwise..

Sorry Stags, that was not a comment directed specifically at you.

Yeah and its also my decision.
Have the AGM in Hay... Good one Muzza.....
SLM will probably will have a parting of the ways with the Raiders. I think the Raiders will move into NSW Cup competition in next couple of seasons..
The price of membership....How much is it at Parramatta again...To be a member, not a supporter..Is there a clear guideline anywhere?
Bloody whinging bastard.....

Why doesn't the Club get all the crap and give it to the people in Rwanda. Thanks from PDRFLC...and say the Membership fee is $70, and for that you get a badge and your year book, and if eligible, a vote at the AGM...
That's all that's needed.
If the kiddies want balloons, tattoos, clackers, whistles, cardboard frisbees, let them buy them separately, and cut out all this bullsh*t. Get fair dinkum, don't undersell the Club with trinkets......
EVERYONE WILL KNOW THEN WHAT IS ON OFFER.
If you want to be a member, join up, but if you don't that's your decision.....

NO...(not at this stage anyway...;-)
AND I have no qualms with Paul, that's for sure. I think he is a good operator, but don't know the bloke at all
Fitzy is a good bloke too (a real good bloke actually) who did great work for the Club, and a lot of people seem to forget that...

actually, not the worst idea in the world .... why don't the club contribute whatever the cost of the crap is (instead of buying the crap) to their yearly rwanda thing in some way

Fair enough. Everyone has their own take on it... which imo is why complaints about the new system are valid.

I think the majority of us also agreed that the club should continued with the $25 fc membership option without the crap for existing members...but we had this arguement a few months back didn't we??
Can't remember if it was majority or not, I just find it funny that discussion of that issue now - as people are actually experiencing it (rather than before in concept) - is being labelled as whinging by some, and complaints are now being implied to be invalid.

This place sure has changed...

That's actually a very good and constructive idea. :thumn

Publicise that that's what the bulk of the $70 is for - tied into media coverage of some Eels boys doing what seems to be the annual trip over there, and I don't think there'd be many or any complaints?

(And less people labelling people whingers or suggesting they don't write their complaints on the forum as an added bonus!)

people pay to become members of the club to financially help the club, not donate money to a charity. Let them donate money to the charities they most feel a connection with.

By all means the club can run a collection for Rwanda but keep this separate to the membership.

My pack arrived yesterday. Despite my expectation that it wouldn't fit, the cap covers my big melon just fine. Gee the peak on it is bloody huge though!!

That's why I'm not a card carrying member of the Raiders either.
When will Rugby League become more professional in its outlook and sell itself instead of trinkets?

well..well..well..now it's an NRL problem and not just a Parramatta issue.

we can leave it right there now, I finally understand where you're coming from. ;-)
