I love that with all that depth you still lost 8 in a row. Not won on paper, not won with players that impress in club games. You still don't get it!

Looks like you don't get it champ. The trophy is back home in NSW now.

I would like to think if Sione goes well through the season he will get a jersey before tupou or mansour

I say Robert, touching wood, will prove the best of Jennings.

I say that hoping he can avoid the Kyle Stanley path.

Not that Michael(completely proven) or George (looking a fine talent) are not going to be an asset to any team.

Just saying Robert, I would pay millions.....

Come on Pennies you cannot keep 'em all.

Mick in Bondi.

George stays home, at the foot of the mountains.

Rob, gets a penthouse in Gallen Tower One.

All three end up helping NSW to 12 in a row.

If Keary and Reynolds keep their form up, watch out. Same goes for Glenn Stewart and Dylan Walker.

Stewart has already had a shot at origin and was ineffective.
Dylan Walker showed in the 4 nations that he's no where near ready for that level.
Keary I like but wouldn't want to risk him just yet. He's in the Brooks, Moses, Cornish basket.
Reynolds is also good but the incumbent deserves the jersey for at least this series.

Keary isn't ready yet. It's a much different scenario playing in your club set up (especially when they're killing it) than it is going into SOO. IMO you don't really get a feel for a player's ability until they've needed to struggle a bit. He needs at least one more year, maybe 2 in FG before he's considered IMO.

I dont think Reynolds (Adam) and Soward would be a terrible combination (although neither of them really take the line on too much). This whole "we need to pick halves from the same club" thinking is ridiculous, especially when halves mostly play on opposite sides of the field these days so their combinations mean little. Pick the best options in each position.

it's quite plausible that much of the side could be determined by who the halves are. i'd say with cordner and jennings being fairly important squad members that the chooks halves pair have the pole position, but if dylan walker alex johnston and glenn stewart play out of their skin before origin then it will make picking reynolds and keary a stronger case.

i also think if the chooks halves are the pairing, you could have brett morris running out the back of them similar to minichello.

Cordner important for the Blues? He shouldn't even be there! Josh and Brett Morris will be on the team and so would David Klemmer. That should end the club combo argument for Piss and Moloney being selected over Reynolds and Hodkinson.

At this early stage in the season:

1. Moylan/Tedesco
2. Morris
3. Jennings
4. Ferguson
5. Moylan/Tedesco

6. TBC
7. Hodkinson

8. Woods
9. Farah (c)
10. Fifita
11. Cordner
12. Watmough
13. Merrin

14. Tamou
15. Klemmer
16. Jackson
17. Wighton

Gallen - tainted player for mine.
Bird - who knows when he will play again.
Lewis - as above for Bird.

How can anyone seriously have Tamou in there? He shouldn't even be in 1st grade.

I'd pick Snowden or Tolman over him any day.

Atm I'd go with:

1. Matt Moylan
2. Alex Johnstone
3. Josh Morris
4. Michael Jennings
5. Brett Morris
6. Mitchell Pearce
7. Adam Reynolds
8. Paul Gallen
9. Robbie Farah
10. Aaron Woods
11. Greg Bird
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Anthony Watmough

14. Kade Snowden
15. Andrew Fifita
16. Boyd Cordner
17. Mitch Aubusson (hooker, 2nd row and centre cover)
