I wouldn't pick Bird next year, same goes for Lewis. Need to keep developing the younger players instead. Give them the experience of Origin and we are a lot stronger for it in future years. Gallen and Farah have earned the right to retire when they want too but if we keep every senior player we will end up with a major drop in experience when they all go within a year or two of each other

I wouldn't pick Lewis next year either but bird still has a bit to give to nsw. I'm only picking Lewis for the decider because he can cover the halves aswell.

We have developed youngsters this season,... Just not for a decider

That's why I said next year not next game. Lewis would be my choice because he can provide cover like Jackson.

I don't think Bird has done anything not to deserve selection but when you have players like Jackson (24), Cordner (23), Merrin (25) etc I think it is better to stick with those that have an extra 5 to 8 years left in them

Bird is far better then those 3 and has accomplished more at origin then either of them likely ever will. Merrin is the only one of the 3 to have much of an impact on origin, if you ask me, Jackson and Cordner shouldn't even be in the team.

Lewis for Game 3. Frizell, Sims unlucky but they will be there. Lewis is a proven performer at this level.

Next year id be happy to leave Bird, Lewis and Gallen out.

You can't change a winning team except for injuries. I will be happy to include Fifita back into the team and make it a 3x prop go forward. I think qld will be ready for Woods and Tamou but not an extra solid prop as Fifita. With Jackson out, maybe should look at bringing in Josh Reynolds as the bolter to cover halves and farah's niggling injury which should leave: Reynolds, Merrin, Cordner, and Fifita on the bench. Not sure what's the verdict on Jennings if he is still playing or not? Apart from that we should have a really strong team heading at Suncorp.

BLUES UP!

Ops LOL! You're definitely correct! Sorry my bad forgot Klemmer...hmm. OK, scrap Reynolds and go with the original forward bench: Merrin, Cordner, Klemmer and Fifita.

Excellent that will definitely be our strongest bench.
If one of our halves got injured or farah, then Dugan can play in the halves 5/8 and shifting pearce/hodko to Hooker. Even if Jennings play hooker or 5/8 and just run it all day lol we can shift beau scott to the centres. Wow imagine Jennings playing hooker and scoot off the mark. No biggie we are sorted. Lets hope it doesn't go that way.

Exciting times NSW UP!

I've been critical of the team all series, but after getting the job done in game 2 and going into a game 3 decider at suncorp, we don't need any unnecessary changes. If Jackson is ruled out, Luke Lewis must be his replacement. Not only Is he in good form, his proven at this level, and he has shown he is perfectly suited to a bench role. He can cover many position, but even if there are no injuries he is still a gun back rower. A guy like Frizzell is in great form starting in a good dragons side, but sometimes that doesn't translate to a player being the right fit for a rep bench position. All the talk about picking players for the future needs to be thrown out the window, the only important thing is winning game 3, and if Lewis is the best player for the job then pick him regardless of his age

Jackson has challenged the grading of the tackle so he isn't out yet. Not sure if it will work but I guess they will be arguing that Eastwood and Segeyaro contributed to him getting into a dangerous position

I agree with most of the above posts - Luke Lewis is the man to replace Jackson if he is out.

Tyson Frizell, Tariq Sims and Wade Graham would be solid, but a Game 3 decider at Suncorp is no place for a debutant.
