Fifita for Jackson and I would love for Pearce to somehow not play and fot Austin to take his spot. Pearce is just trying to play like Austin anyway with jinking runs and crappy kicks. Let's just pick the real thing.

This.

A blues win masks another poor performance from Pearce.

Yeah but Austin plays on the left and Pearce on the right. If anyone is to replace him this year it would be Josh Reynolds

No chance Austin will be picked. If for some reason Pearce isn't available they'll go with Josh Reynolds but unless he's injured or suspended Pearce will be there

Austin has played on the right all year

I still don't understand jack sons role in the team. He could be effective in a Dallas Johnston style lock, however they play him on the bench and use him for 20-25mins. He isn't an impact player, Lewis of fifita need to come in for him.

No he hasn't, he's been playing on the left.

I don't understand jacksons role either. I disagree, he is an impact forward rather then one who's a workhorse. But all he seems to do when coming on is defence... I'd leave him for now, keep the structure of the team the same. Next year we'll look at frizzell and sims.

I will bet you 7 billion dollars he has being playing on Canberras right. Go watch any highlights package from a raiders game on nrl.com now

I'd be dumping Merrin for that shit offload toward the end that could have put us under all sorts of pressure. Bring in Austin or a backup hooker on the bench. Otherwise no changes. I don't rate several of the players in the squad, but they seem to have gelled well as a team and making wholesale changes now would be stupid. I just think we'd benefit far more from a utility or backup hooker on the bench than from a 4th forward, and I've thought that since before game 1.

I'd like to see Fifita there somewhere but who do you drop? I'm near certain Queensland's forwards will aim up in game 3, particularly against Tamou and Woods, and it would be good for them to spend all their time focussing on those two and less time focussing on Fifita. He was f**king woeful in game 1 but his previous games have been good-excellent.

I tend to agree but it needs to be a player who can play a full rotation in the backrow if needed. Hinchcliffe or Aubusson would be my choice

You've developed this hate for Merrin, nothing to do with him leaving to the Panthers right?

Jackson is the back up hooker.

I rewatched the game with a focus on him the other day. He was pretty decent, only thing he did wrong was give away a stupid penalty.
