OK we have had a bad season for injuries. Tough.
But the decline of this team is not just about the loss of a few first choice players. It is about a squad rolling over and saying we're giving up.
Serious questions need to be asked about all facets of the club. The Directors, management, recruitment, coaches, support staff, contracted players and potential players.
This is serious and deserves to be properly addressed. The Warriors are the public face of rugby league in New Zealand. They represent you and I. I know I am not happy about being made to look stupid on TV or laughed at by Australian commentators.
Make the tough decisions and get it right. Earn some respect.
I am leaning that way. I have faith messrs Watson (and especially) Glenn will make changes required where needed.
I have heard so many rumours in the past week- Coach out of his depth, players unhappy wanting to leave, too many injuries with not enough experienced backup, the younger players not liking new strict social rules, young players not up to NRL.
After hearing Dean Bell this morning, I would add him as well as someone not recruiting properly-nor has any desire to do anything different.
IMO, it is a little of all of that, compounding to one big problem. You're right, there should be a lot of homework done at the end of the year to sort it for next year, and it shouldn't stop at the coach
