BMoz

I heard on last night’s news that Scott and Jennings showed better than expected condition at a “secret” training session with Ricky Stuart. If we are to assume that Jennings a specialist left centre takes that Origin gig who gets the wing spot.

Do you think that it would be dependent on Sowie’s condition, IE. If he’s fit then BMoz combination with him and understanding of his laser-like passes gives him the edge over Hayne?
I personally think that he's more useful than Hayne on the wing in any case but who knows which way Stuart will go

In any case if BMoz isn’t playing in SOO3, will Sticky release him in time to return to WIN for our game against Knights? Does anyone know the protocols involved?

I would bet my bottom dollar that Hayne gets the spot if Jennings is fit. I've heard they want the side training by friday morning so i guess that means Moz will be back for the dragons on Sunday. Didn't your mate Nightingale have a game on monday night??!! Outstanding!!

I'd say that if Jennings is fit, then Hayne will be the winger and Morris will be released from camp on Friday (along with Galloway and Stuart); which means he'll play for us on Sunday.

SMH tends to agree with your opinion on Hayne at wing

Let's keep an eye on Nighty's positional play on Sunday which could improve on his performance against the Tit's

I deleted that game before it was even over so didn't re watch it but i thought that at least once when he was caught of position and a try was scored it was because he was edging over towards Simmonds wing to lend a hand there after a couple of errors from him earlier...Prince or whoever kicked the ball read that and kicked it to space that a fullback with confidence in his winger would have normally covered.
I don't say that to bag Simmonds ...i know he tried hard...but that was just my read on why Nightingale was caught out there at least once with points the result.

i suspect morris will miss out.

PS - pity Nightingale is a kiwi, as he is the best winger in the comp by a long way...he would be first choice winger for NSW.

Over Uate?

I think Morris will miss out but not be released for us. Sticky will flex his muscles in order to try to get changes for next year. Who better to f around with but the Premiers and a winger. No sympathy will be sent in our direction if this comes to pass.

1. Nightingale
2. Uate
3. Vatuvei
4. B. Moz
5. Yow Yeh

Hayne and Boyd would easily make my list but are fullbacks.

Vatuvei at his best is in another class but he has been shocking since returning from injury. Inu actually deserves a mention. Been great on the field this season.

I'd be really surprised if they chose Hayne over B Moz, Sticky did have the choice originally and chose Moz in the first game. Granted his non attempt on the Yow Yeh try was fairly average, but i would have thought he would be sticking solid

Morris has not quite reached the same heights this year as he has the last couple, but I think he is the best winger in the competition at finding the try line when there is still work to do. Overall I rate Nightingale as a better all round player for reason that are obvious to most of you, but Morris is superior to every winger in the competition at getting over the stripe somehow. He scores tries that other wingers can't and don't score. He makes fantastic yards out of dummy half and is a very good defender. Yeah he drops the odd high ball and some of you negative types crucify him for it, but he is a brilliant footballer!

I wouldnt drop BMoz for anyone. Having said that he is a little off from his best so far this year. I think he has lost a yard of pace, I blame the knees into his hip/side while he was scoring in the WCC game.

Re Nighty over Uate. the question is do you really think the rep selectors would choose him over Uate?

It all depends I reckon a coach like Bennett who plays a more conservative and structured style will probably take Nighty whereas a coach like Sheens whose emphasis is more on attack will probably go for Uate for the brilliance and speed. I personally would not swap Nighty for any other winger, he would be my first choice and as for B. Moz I'm glad we have him as the other winger too also one of the best, just a little down on his brilliant best form.

NIghtingale is also more versatile, he can play wing, fullback, five eighth and even as we saw last season slot into the back row if needed.

Uate could play fullback and thats it. therefore in the days of salary caps and needing a squad full of versatile players i would take nightingale any day.
(although probably would take them both if i could :) )

He can also set up a hospital and tend the troops if war breaks out :sarcasm:
