I don't know whether the board is the right one to take us forward, but it would be a bit strange to punt them after finally getting it right this year. Getting Gould, punting Elliott and resisting the urge to move forward with Stevie G after the strong showing against the Cows were all good moves by the club.

Also, what Mick said.

the problem with our club is more than the board so i will put it 9on point form how i feel

The board.leagues club

1.they have stumbled and triped over there own feet for many years there needs to be changes to the leagues club board first
2.My concern with the current leagues club board is there solution is waiting on legislation to sell some of the assets.Yes money wise it helps the bank balance but is it just delaying the current problems.
3.I beleive we need to look at younger guys like col bently and nads from this forum. They have there finger on the pulse

On a football front.
leave thing the way they are now
1.There has been a massive change from with in the club staff wise. They need time to change things around
2.Gould also is not only cleaning out playing rooster he is doing it slowly as contracts run outl. Many of our nyc players are on board for the next 2 years along with setini vai vai grant mc kendry

Petero
my concern is his timing of his comment
1.If he is so concerned why not stay around and help new people get on the board by offering his support
2.He is paid massive dollars to play and captain a underachieving team.It time he took some responsibility for the results in the 4 years he has been here

In summary
leagues club needs changes
football club has had changes and needs time to turn things around

The majority of that was Gould. Although they did bring him in so that's a positive. To re-sign ME after those terrible 3 years was inexusible, To cut our junior funding so we get knocked out in SG Ball by Perth is borderline criminal.

Don't get me started on the League's Club's problems. We need a fresh start in the boardroom to go with the fresh start in the football office

Col Bentley and Greg Chapman were two very good Board Members who left cause they couldn't work with the current Board.

i am all for col bently not only does he have a football tie but is a very smart business man who i hear thinks out side the square and that is what is need to turn the leagues club around

This is my biggest concern. Sure Cardiff Panthers is a basket case. However we should be fixing the cashflow problems by increasing patronage, BEFORE relying on Government legistation to change.

I agree the Football club needs to be given time to produce results given the huge turnover of staff. It's changed for the better. Time the boardroom does the same

The thing is pretty much every licensed club is struggling, which means they are all probably trying to do this already. I doubt very much that any of our clubs arent trying to get more people in.

Panthers is in a unique position of having a uni 5-10mins up the road with no decent pub/club inbetween.

We should link up with the student union and have their catchup day things at Panthers. Most of the time they have it on Wednesday arvo. Give them TC's free.

We get the bar/food takings not to mention it gets the word out about it not being an 'old persons' club. All the uni union members are linked via facebook join the uni group and they get the links to the club's entertainment free of charge. That's just off the top off my head.

I would but I am 25. I wouldn't have enough 'life experience' to be taken seriously. When I am 30 I will run

Some young people on the board would be good i think, they understand the younger fans and patrons of the club and what they want. Im not entirely sure of the ages of the current board member but i take it from your comment there is none younger then 30.

i am sure they are trying to get more into clubs. But sometimes it just needs fresh minds to look outside the square.Rooty hill building the bowling center is one .I have heard it has a underground corridor linking the bowling center to the club.Again its attracting a different type of customer

Brandy 46.
The rest could be his dad

Ideally 35-45 is the age we need. Run Businesses or management level. Yet young enough to frequent the club so to see the problems (ie only 1 main bar open after the Raiders Semi last year). Dealt with problems with younger people either at work or teenage kids great for the smart alec problem member facing the board.

That said a few old heads are needed but we need a balance of both and we need some business men not cops on the board

I'd love to run for it.

Sure I don't live in the area but I relate.

I've done audits on similar businesses when I was working in the Big 4 as an auditor, but also in my current role facilitating the finance department in conjunction with strategies and implementation of new products in FMCG industry.

Sure I'm only 26 but I'd have more brains than most of the relics on that board imo. (Not to talk up myself). But there is no way at all I'd get in.

I am the same. Plenty of leadership type roles boards of Cricket clubs etc. Working in the community services sector has gave me skills needed. However with my age the older members wouldn't vote for me. Give my a few years and I will be a better chance.

As for not being in the Area Brandy's not either. The rest other then a punt on Sat arvo's I am yet to see outside of AGM's etc

Mick age should never be a issue in fact it brings different views all of which is a positive thing for the board
