how much more trouble can we possibly be in?

There is a lot of truth in what you say mn...

I remember LG stating a few years ago that they were absolutely rapped in the free advertisement, they use to get, with all the TV games that the Sharks were on.

The reason we got those games was because we were consistant and usually guaranteed to at least give a good account of ourselves. We were also entertaining to watch at the very least, even if we lost!

Our team now is ill disciplined, surrounded in controversy and plain dull to watch (well, the dumping of the flat attack at least in the last few games improved the spectacle a bit). Our team is also a bit "Jeckle and Hide" atm and can be great one week and pathetic the next.

I hope that CA(if he is still there) can return us to the "Entertainers" we use to be, next year, and like Penrith are now.

A joke. In the first two situations, Sludge was right behind Anderson - surely he must be dangling by his fingernails too?
constant public conflict with the board
Take that up with the board. If they stuck to what they know best (politics), and stopped trying to be football coaches, we'd be far better off.

If we get the spoon next year, you can blame Barry Pierce & co.

acussing the NRL and refferees of incompetance
But they are incompetant...

Would you rather just roll over and cop it like we have for years? Without Ando's support, David Peachey would now have a suspension on his otherwise unblemished record. Sometimes you need to stick up for yourself.

ridding the club of experienced players and replacing them with nobodies
Melbourne in 1998 were a bunch of nobodies too...

How many reps did we have in 2001? Did we have five internationals like we do now (or six, if you count the Captain of the Junior Kangaroos)?

taking a team that was in the finals to the verge of the spoon
Ever heard of taking a step back in order to take two forward? Injuries didn't help...

crowd figures down
success=crowds. We have a much better chance of success under Anderson.

sponsorship dollars about to dry up because we are not on TV anymore
success=getting on Channel nein too

Tell me Millers. If Anderson goes, taking Kimmorley, Bailey and Nutley with him (and probably more), how do you think we'll avoid the spoon next year?

Here's your dream scenario.

Anderson gets punted.
Bailey walks.
Raper takes over.
Players have the shits because they had a mutual respect with Anderson.
Raper has trouble adjusting team because they were hired by Anderson to suit his methods. Kimmorley is effectively a Northern Eagle again.
We lose games.
Crowds drop further.
We stay off Channel 9.
Sponsors rightly wonder what the hell is going on...

Should I continue?

Your 'facts' are irrelevant. You don't think Stuey would struggle next year? Even a little bit?

Lets not forget that it took us 12 rounds in 2002 to adjust to a new coaching style. And the current squad is tailored to Anderson's methods, not Raper's.

Melbourne didn't seem to take very long to play well under Craig Bellamy after a couple of ordinary years under Mark Murray.

Sure, Raper may not win us the comp net year, but at least the "reign of terror" will be over. :)

Ye ah Millers, how many times have I told you???
Facts are irrelevant.!!!!!!!

Even though I am not convinced that Kimmorley is a team player, if there is one person that needs to stand up in thissituation is him.
If he doesn't, he is exactly what the majority of league people think of him.

As if anybody is going to walk. Ludicrous.

Jimbo has just taken speculation to a new all time high.

Even I could not paint a picture that dark.
leave the Sharks alone Jimbo or start supporting them!!!!

No, the facts are irrelevant because you're describing the present. I'm describing how things will get worse if the board gives up on Anderson.

P.S. I'd be interested in hearing how you guys think Raper would cope if he was thrown into that very deep end?

Yeah, me on my way home from the RSL last Sunday night.

Reminds my of one of my employees a few years ago... Rings up on the Monday and says he wont be coming to work for a few weeks. When I asked him why, he said he did his shoulder in while coming home from the Club, pissed as a parrot. I thought he tripped or something...

Seems he decided to do what all drunken idiots do, tackle garbage bins. Would you believe some low life filled his garbage bin full of bricks and tiles. He just hit it and slid down it. The bin didn't budge...

PC will get an opportunity to play for the number 7 spot
win a GF within 3 years.
PC won't be going anywhere
Flat attack is here to stay & will win the Sharks the comp
all you need is a front rower & good half to win
etc
etc.
etc.
etc.
etc.

And if I know Bastard Squad, he would've been taking a few steps sideways as well :p

Jury is out with me on Raper & this squad. He should have been the original choice if lang had to go.

However, if Raper turns out to be the 2nd worst coach the sharks have ever had, then at leat that is a massive improvement.

Why wasn't Raper the original choice? It would have seemed logical at the time. :?
