Its a strange type of mutated fungus with a green tinge.
It is living.
Well my theory is that it is trying to photosynthesise, accompany that with the fact it is a fungus that has the ability to evolve. Therefore it must be living. But in saying this it is a mutant and its life form cannot be ascertained, so I propose we put the final decision up to the teacher, afterall that is why he is paid the big bucks.
