I'll play the United match now. The Devil is out for 2 weeks with a broken wrist - we have no 3rd keeper.

I guess the strain those warm up exercises caught up with me :sarcasm:

I guess you could try a 4-1-3-1-1 formation with a DM and a AM/SS

well it depends who our best players are but try a 4-2-2-2 - 2 central midfielders, 2 wide attack midfielders with 2 strikers and play wide with a quick tempo

We're are conceding way too many goals against the good teams. I'd go with a 4-1-4-1 for the first halves just to not let us get to far behind each game.

And I think the team needs the stern 25 year old veteran for inspiration :lol:

This is the story of my life. Bumble makes a mistake, leaves me out, Devil plays f*cking fantastic (good on ya btw) and then I luck out and get a start and I concede 4?!?!?!?!

How come I'm facing all the hard teams!?!?!?!?!

I'd play a 4-2-2-1-1 against the class teams. We are lacking in defence and we should play 2 DM's too make sure we concede less, against the smaller teams the diamond will do.

Against weaker teams I like a 4-3-1-2, with a central attacking midfielder as a playmaker and fullbacks who run the sidelines. Against tougher teams what everyone else says sounds alright, with DMs, maybe it's worth considering a sweeper?

If it shots you're looking for Kiwishark'll have a dig from anywhere I think everyone wants to see him/herself play.

A good versatile formation is the 4-3-3:

Fast strikers on the wings are just as effective as attacking midfielders. Put your best target man up front.

Play wide and long counteratacking against the big 4. Against everyone else play for the weather and home/away.

3rd Min: Bumble steals it from Meite, crosses it in to Phillips whose diving head goes just wide!

63rd Min: Phillips plays it down the wing to lolesi, who returns the ball to Phillips on the edge of the area...but his shot blazes over.

33rd: robyalvaro's cross is met by Phillips, but the header loops over.

75th: weasel puts Phillips through...but his shot hits the keeper and goes clear.

58th: robyalvaro fires a 60 yard long ball right to Phillips...who scores! 4-1 and can LU salvage something?

37th: From the kick off, Bumble, Phillips and weasel play a neat 1-2-3 before weasel sends it back to Bumble, who sends the ball beyond Friedel!! LU hit back immediately and it's 1-1!!

65th: Unbelievable goal for LU!! hybrid receives a back heel from Dutchy, beats two defenders and finds Stonecutter, who looks to shoot from the edge of the area but instead goes wide and beats 4 or 5 defenders before playing a short pass to Phillips who simply could not miss. LU in front!!

80th: NP plays a little ball to Bumble, who sends Stonecutter away! He outpaces 3 of them before squaring it to Phillips who again, couldn't miss. 3-1!

32nd: Stonecutter again sends it to Bumble, but he squares it to Phillips this time whose 30 yard missile is just tipped away by Taylor.

81st: NP gets away down the left and crosses to Bumble, who turns it back for Phillips but his bullet header goes over.
