Boyd in hot water

See this is horseshit, not you Perv but the whole idea that the Roosters could slot someone like Boyd into their roster.

A few weeks back the Tele claimed that the Rorters were actually under the cap due to everyone being on cut price deals and below market value. So no one is getting an upgrade and they have 600k plus free under the cap.

Seriously that will do me, let's just cancel the cap because it's being rorted by everyone but Newcastle.

The Boyd to the Roosters was someone's idea of a bad joke. He has never spoken to the Roosters and is 0% chance of ever playing for the Roosters.

I know the "other forum" is over the top positive and lacking in some critical balance but jeezus this place is going in the opposite direction fast. Any piece of news or rumour is jumped on, pulled apart and made out to be the absolute end of the universe as we know it

Take a freakin deep breathe and calm the f**k down fellas. Its damn near impossible to want to post in here anymore with the outright negativity in this place most of the time. Youll give yourselves heart attacks

Boyd riddle

Darius Boyd has taken major steps on his road to recovering from depression and other issues. Aside from checking into rehab he has re-united with his mother after 10 years without seeing her. Boyd was also a surprise show at the Knights' awards night. He was welcomed with some warmth by the senior players at the club. What is odd is that he is telling teammates that his heart is in Newcastle and he wants to stay at the club.

It Is strange to me how despite his inner demons being dealt with people still want to write him off completely. The scepticism is warranted but we could yet see the best of Darius and the way we played at the back end of the year could make him a very dangerous player in support.

I would take him back if he brings his dragons form and connects with the rest of the team on field. Don't care about how much of a douche he can be.

Honestly if the merkin plays the type of football he was playing in the back half of last year and the quality we know he has then I've got no issue with him remaining at the club.

Problem is that he just adds to the build up of quality backs we have.

I hope for the knights Boyd stays and performs to the best of his ability, if any club deserves a good year in
2015 it's the knights.

I'll take the reported comments from Boyd with a gain of salt. It's not like he's going to go up to the senior players like Scott and Gids, etc that have bleed for the club and say he doesn't want to be there next year.

The fact that he showed up at the preso to begin with is probably cause for concern though.

At first I thought there's no way he'd stay given how many bridges he's burnt...but if he was received positively then it may not be out of the question.

I'm not too concerned either way tbh. If he does stay it will hopefully only be for 2015 so he can get his 600k. He was also a bloody good player for us last year and if his outlook really has changed after going to rehab (and Greece ) then it might not be the end of the world having him around a bit longer.

To be honest the Midley/Hagan/NRL clusterf**k has me a lot more concerned than Darius Boyd at the moment.

Boyd staying would be great news, his a fantastic player and only Mullen can match him as a game breaker for the knights. I dunno if he has burnt as many bridges as people claim, the club has stuck by him it seems to be the fans really going after Boyd which is not uncommon over the pst 2 years. Boyd has done some silly things at the club but a fit and firing Boyd would be massive for the knights and give Stone a good reason to move Gids to the bench and make Scott captain.

I wouldn't be against Boyd staying. It's not like it would cost us signing someone at this stage of the season. We all know how talented he can be, if he actually is in a better headspace like that article suggests I'd rather us be the beneficiary than him go somewhere like the Broncos and carve up which would just be typical of our luck.

The Donkeys propaganda machine doing everything they can to deflect from how woeful Darius and his club have become.

Once again though Darius can do no wrong. It must all be the fault of that awful Newcastle club. No personal responsibility for Darius.
